I us to subscribe to Boxnation which is or was decent, but that was 13-15 or so dollars (was about 11 pounds).
After a while I decided to stop it because you don't really watch it other than once in a while...Comment

Streaming is the way to go here in the UK. For example, here's the way you could watch Hayes Bellew 2 fight:
First option:
------------------
1. Subscribe to Sky (£20 a month for basic package)
2. Purchase the Sky Box Office Event £19.99
Total cost: £39.99
Cons: You're paying £20 for channels you'll never watch
Second Option
----------------------
1. Buy a NowTV box or stick (cheapest £19.99)
2. Order through the Sky Box Office app for £19.99
Total cost: £39.98 or £19.99 if you already own a box/stick.
Cons: You can't record the event
Third Option
----------------------
1. Buy the event online for £19.99 through the Sky website
2. Watch on your PC or laptop (Sky Box Office app not available on NowTV app on PS4/Xbox)
Cons: Can't pause or record
Fourth Option
----------------------
*******s
Add on top of that the confusion whenever a fight happens on Sky. They don't indicate whether a Sky Day pass on NowTV for £7.99 will cover the fight or it's an exclusive Box Office Event.
A streaming service available on all platforms (consoles, smart tvs, computers, phones) is badly needed. Right now it's either sign a contract for a year for Sky TV or buy a crippled version of the fight on NowTV with no record or pause facility.
And don't get me started on Frank Warrens BoxNation:
Available on Sky or BT. On BT it's not available in HD and you need to be a BT customer, and then pay extra for any PPV as well as the BoxNation subscription. And on Sky, you pay for your Sky subscription, plus a BoxNation subscription and then extra for PPV events.
Is it any wonder boxing doesn't attract the number of viewers it used to? Say what you will about Dana White, but for one flat fee you get access to EVERYTHING! If Hearn can offer something similar I'll be the first to subscribe.Comment

This is going to be tougher than Hearn is expecting
Al Haymon, and his fighters and affiliated fighters, whether in contract or not, have first loyalties to Showtime/CBS, and then to PBC (wherever that ends up).
No different than Hearn's first loyalties to Sky Sports, there's not much one can do to get Eddie Hearn to go against Sky.
Haymon's going to fill Showtime's schedule with fights (15-20 Showtime Championship Boxing shows, and another 15 or so dates for ShoBox) and then fill the PBC dates (after a slow start to the year and not knowing the next deal yet, we're likely talking about 4 BounceTV shows, 4 shows on FOX, and 8-15 shows on FS1 this year), and if there's anything extra, since there seems to be no malice between the parties, maybe he can throw Hearn a few fightersComment

16 shows with seven figure license fees guaranteed and his USA roster is as deep as just Danny Jacobs? I'm sceptical. Why you say that?
Streaming is the future. It's taking over sooner or later and boxing will be on there.
I think if this rumor is legit these guys sound like players that could be around for the long haul and be among the final players in the streaming market takeover bloodbath between all these mfers trying to become the ESPN of streaming live sports content.Comment

Did you get money back, or simply eat the L?likely fails, but hearn can make a lot of money before it does, so that doesn't mean it's a bad move.
i signed on with a streaming service a couple years ago that barely lasted 18 months, but they were throwing around crazy money for fights and it was still worth it even though they folded half way through our contract.Comment

The UFC isn't all of MMA though; Bellator, Professional Fighters League, OneFC in Asia, and others all make their own moves.
When the dust settles after this UFC deal, and the coming WWE deal, don't be surprised when Haymon ends up getting his own $100m-$150m per year for the PBC.Comment

Hasn't be said he's doing some shopping for US fighters as we speak? I suspect by the time Jacobs fights again they'll be triple or quadruple the US roster worse case.Comment

I dig Haymon. I think he's a godsend damn near for the post-boxing career of a ton of boxers he deals with without even getting into how he's helped them in maximizing their money as a pro boxer BUT why is everyone getting a tv/streaming deal EXCEPT Haymon lol.The UFC isn't all of MMA though; Bellator, Professional Fighters League, OneFC in Asia, and others all make their own moves.

Arum basically sues Haymon, sees his docs & within 6 or so months has a deal with ESPN thats pretty solid.
Hearn, assuming this news is true, is lined up with a streaming platform, the future of the industry & entertainment viewing, after 2 or 3 shows Haymon would be embarrassed putting on & its not like Haymon promoters ain't put on some sh^tshows.
Why can't Haymon get a deal now? Are we even sure thats what Haymon wants anymore? I've been saying it for years I think at this point, but I don't know why they wouldn't pivot to a new plan upon all the issues they ran into & all the money they seemingly spewed if those details are true. What has Haymon shown with his actions he's still shopping for a TV deal?
And sh^t maybe he is, I just don't understand how he don't got one already if he does want one & if he keeps letting PBC guys sign with promoters as has been happening & as Hearn & the UFC is likely to prove is happening more & more this year what is the plan with a lowering quality of PBC guys?Comment
