the low purse was a guarantee due to risk of low viewership. I'm glad Martirosyan will see more money as well. that wasn't right. he got KTFO for 200K of which 70K will go to taxes. 50K will go to his trainer Count Dracula.
First time I hear a fighter getting more money based on viewership numbers off of a non-ppv fight.
Ggg is a bigger draw than people give him credit for. He won't ever be a ppv superstar but he's sold out arenas in NY, LA and in the UK. He always does solid TV ratings. Not to mention that other than the Floyd fight, Canelo did his highest ppv numbers vs ggg.
Just want to make sure posters like you and /// remember to point out actual poster anger over ratings success instead of predicting poster anger like you did in this thread.
Let the faux racism go dude.
What racism? You've got issues dude. Always trying to grind an axe. I know there's plenty of white posters, Hispanic posters, black posters even that clown Robbie who is British who is always pissed when a fighter who's nuts he doesn't lust after draws good viewership.
I personally actually really love the sport and want every show to succeed. Hence why I watch them all and attend nearly every one in the LA area and travel to Vegas and NYC plus other areas to support the sport. That's why I struggle to understand so-called Boxing fans rooting for it's downfall and you know those people are in this forum.
People don't generally subscribe to HBO or Showtime for boxing. They sign up for the original content and movies.
Boxing is a perk. It's not driving decisions for subs to the general population. HBO has the most popular show in the history of premium cable. There's no comparison there.
actually u are 100% wrong. Hbo and showtime have both discusses surveys they have set to their subscribers who say boxing is a major reason or the only reason they subscribe. That’s theonly reason I subscribe to both.
