Gotta love how delusional people are in buying Kathy's bull****. Team Kovalev literally avoids the purse bid yet the majority of the public believes Stevenson was ducking.

Kovalev was under contract with HBO, and could not fight on another network. Kathy and Main Events simply did not have the money to go against Haymon, who would have set it on Showtime, nullifying the fight anyway.

Stevenson however was not under a contract with Showtime, and while being affiliated with them, could have still found a compromise.

Funny thing is everyone seems to forget these 2 once shared the same network. Shared a card amd everything then Stevenson ran to Showtime to avoid the fight. Take a look at the competition these 2 have faced since. Are you telling me the guy who fought Ward, Hopkins and Pascal ducked the clown who fought Fonfara twice? Get outta here clown.

Hahahaha! but Duva put herself in that position with the purse-bid tho! being a promoter you would know this, so its BS. Showtime and HBO worked together the same year to bring us Mayweather-Pacquiao...but, but, but the networks doe.

                Easier to negotiate with Alvarez?
                Ummm.....
well kov is going on his 5th time of turning down the fight...
alvarez is going on his 4th times of turning it down

so by the numbers they are both a pain, but alvarez has turned it down less and kov turned it down for 3.5 million..i dont htink alvarez would do that

the fight was on the table for the same exact split on hbo ppv and stevenson didn't take it. why does kovalev only have one chance to make the fight or stevenson is off the hook? if stevenson wanted to fight he would have taken it but he knew he could use that excuse over and over and some people would accept his ducking the next 3 years in a row

i've fought the best he says then names chad dawson(coming off a loss) and tavoris cloud(coming off a loss) oh yeah and this was 5 years ago lol. what a crap resume. his resume of ducks is amazing though: pascal, hopkins, kovalev, alvarez, etc...

when did stevenson ever offer him a fight? kovalev offered stevenson a 50-50 split(same as purse bid) on hbo ppv and steenson turned it down. hes just using the purse bid thing to trick low information fans and to appeal to his dwindling polarized fanbase
