  • Comments Thread For: Stevenson Feels He'd Drill Kovalev, Expects Short Night With Jack

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - Regrets? Sure, Adonis Stevenson has got a few. But when it comes to the opponents he's fought in nearly five years as the WBC's 175-pound champion or, more notably perhaps, the ones he's not fought they're far too few to mention. "What do I regret? Nothing really," he said. "If we...

Winner of Stevenson vs Kovalev could possibly draw WARd out of retirement.....Still kinda interested to see this match up, with Kov being very hungry and Stevenson trying to prove what he has always said, could be a very good slug fest, or quick KO, can you imagine how hungry Kov would be for this match-up....WARd will be at ringside commentating, and KOV will be picturing WARd as he tries to kill Stevenson

This is how ****** and biased these Haymon fighters are. "They said Floyd cherry picked too, therefore it's not true when they say I cherry pick." Actually, it was true about Floyd, and it's true about you. But when you're so biased that you look up to a cherry picker like Floyd, then it's easy to apply the same low standards to yourself, and that's how this weak era of boxing has materialized in Floyd's wake. It's even come to Floyd's own backyard in the form of Gervonta Davis who expects to be put in mismatch after mismatch until he magically becomes a PPV star, just like he saw Floyd do it (except Floyd had old Oscar and the tease of fighting the much more entertaining Manny Pacquiao to build his name off of, Tank does not).

These guys are everything wrong with modern boxing. Until writers start writing about THAT problem, instead of this puff piece, the sport will keep going downhill.

              40yr old

Fighting once a year basically with declining skills may be the end
              of Adonis Stevenson.

"He concedes it’ll be a far easier negotiation if Kovalev is beaten by No. 6 WBO contender Eleider Alvarez in a planned summer title defense."

                Easier to negotiate with Alvarez?
                Ummm.....
