It’s partly psychological, Wilder will know it’s not a fight that’ll earn him much respect for just winning, but yet he still has to despatch him more impressively than AJ, this will be the first time he’s under that pressure. Will he get erratic and out of shape or do the business and send a statement?
Nice point you stated there.... Only time will tell.
Some fans on this platform argue breazeale will give a good fight but personally I dnt give him any chance.
So was Hammers K.O of Price ,i dont believe anyone outside the Wilder group thinks Hammer makes a competitive fight against Joshua .
Povetkin can give many guys trouble , i dont see Joshua being one of them .
He will struggle severly to win rounds , and the reach to overcome to great , hes not to hard to hit either ,unlike Takam and Parker . Hes going to force a K.O on himself ,its a perfect opponent for Joshua just a more dangerous one bc Povetkin can punch harder than those guys .
I can't be too sure about potvekin punching harder than Parker. Parker just didn't turn up against AJ. He was always on the back foot, afraid to engage and try his chances.
I think Parker was more afraid to get KOed than him winning. He made sure if he loose, he looses in style.
Respect to Barry for just being HONEST! Look regardless if AJ Fans want to admit it (I like AJ myself and Wilder is starting to earn more and more respect from me) this fight is extremely Dangerous and YES it could setback what they're trying to build up over in the UK
Barry and Eddie making big money off of AJ I'm sure which is leading to Massive Network Deals with Sky and DAZN and potential HBO next or whatever deal they're prepare to announce in a couple of days
Fans just need to be patient, we always end up getting the fight we want. I don't see AJ or Wilder going away anytime soon and the Heavyweight Division is not a deep one at all so both are probably 1 or 2 more fights away from running out of opponents and having no choice BUT TO FIGHT!
I sense some nervousness from a lot of you AJ Fans though, Wilder Power and Quickness concerns you it is OK to admit it, that doesn't make you any less of a Fan. What is WEAK though is when some of you guys trying to reverse it and put the blame on Wilder despite Barry telling us basically that YES they want him to wait on the Wilder fight. Respect to both fighters regardless, look forward to that Showdown when it does happen!

This is what we need more of. Fans who can discuss things reasonably and see both sides. You can be a fan of a fighter without being brainwashed. Kudos to the above poster.
It's completely reasonable for Hearn to delay the fight. I would do exactly what Hearn is doing. It's completely reasonable for Hearn to lie about the reasons for the delay to protect the image of boxing's most valuable asset. I would do exactly what Hearn is doing.
But the blind cult like following so many exhibit here is very disappointing. You can literally see entire passages of posts just lifted word for word from Hearn's IFL videos. No original thought or unbiased analysis. Just complete hero worship.

I’m not nervous why should I be? I just want the fight to be agreed so I can make money on the fight. The odds should be wonderful for either fighter. I’m Team Joshua and believe Joshua will knock out Deontay but I have no qualms come the weigh in and I see something in Joshua’s mental that spells apprehension or fear and just like that all my money goes on Wilder to win and I will cheer him on too. There is no loyalty when it comes to me making money
It’s actually a great match up and rather than both sets of fans attacking each other we should be embracing the fight
Well, Barry has said it as it is. As a Joshua fan I think would do exactly as Barry adviced if I were in Joshua’s position. Following his developmental growth is key and boxing fans should not force him to leap
