Its actually been the reverse for most of boxing history its only now that the UK has a brief spot on top that America cares. have a look at all the super middle wights Roy Jones didn't fight from the UK .. why no money in it and no one cared outside of the UK.

Joshua better take the Wilder fight now, I would be more scared for him going to Russia than America.... and make no mistake they will lose that purse bid.
With all the **** happening between the U.K and Russia right now that will be a hostile place to go.
Either way, Joshua's next fight is not goning to be easy... if he can beat Povetkin and Wilder he's already got a legacy after 20 odd fights.

Now no debating he has to hold a big L for that. Now does he give away all the leverage he has worked for for the last 3 years all because he had diarrhoea in the mouth? Absolutely not. I’m not going to sit here and front .Home advantage is imperative for Joshua than it is Wilder.
Finally if Wilder was to fight Breazeale or his team advised him to fight Joshua in a year I will be up in arms .Now all of a sudden we are accepting it like it’s probably for the best. That is a cowards move of the highest order. No side stepping. We fight this year, end of. Smh

i think they want this fight in the US. makes no sense to have it in the UK where it will do less at the gate, less in PPV sales, and completely eliminate the possiblity of ppv on both sides of the pond. the reason why you wait is to bring the fight here. it's not going to get any bigger in the UK. and idno't think they're scared, just want to maximize revenue in what might be the biggest fight of joshua's career.
brits have bought 5 AM ppv in the past. they'll only be a piece of the revenue anyway. there's no place on the planet wehre a major casino will pay you to host the fight, the tickets sell for 10 grand ringside and 500-1000 in the nosebleeds, and where people will buy a $75 us ppv.
just for a little perspective, joshua vs klitschko did less at the gate than ancient bernard hopkins vs joe freaking calzaghe. at the time the world knew damn well that chad dawson was the best LHW on the planet, too.
