Too many so-called fans are using promoter talking points. I guess when you are a fan of a particular fighter and not a fan of the sport you just take whatever that fighters team says about that fighter and run with it.
That or they just make up stuff like you said.Comment

he was knocking out the same fools Golovkin was knocking out
YES, at catchweight..... but catchweight is where Golovkin would have to fight him
considering the fact that Golovkin happily offered Rosado a catchweight..... and considering the fact that AFTER refusing to negotiate on weight with 153lb Cotto, Golovkin then stated that he is willing and able to fight at 154, but nobody will step up.....
why do you think he totally refused to negotiate on weight?
that was a HUGE payday, and a HUGE opportunity..... an opportunity that every fighter from 140-160 would have cut off one of his fingers to win..... but, not GolovkinComment

Who wrote this BS, Tom Loffler? Abel Sanchez? In a one dimensional way the writer took every every new media critique and spun it into a false reality.
This is why GGG gets hate because of imaginative garbage like this, designed to exaggerate legend and keep him from fighting real threats.
GGG could possibly be the greatest MW of this watered down till recently Era but who knows if he is always taking safe fights.
The Labron comparison is utterly ridiculous. GGG is not on top of the sport like that. What has he done? Who has he fought? How has he tested himself? Forget moving up, take on the top guys at 160!!Comment

Many questions pal thanks for asking . First question .... Many fighters made themselves available for the fight but he ignored them and fought vanes, why do you think that?
Second question..... Why is he not keen to be undisputed.Billie joe is more than willing to fight him?
Third question.....The ideal fight for GGG baring Canelo is to fight the Japanese fighter who has had 15 fights. This was from Abel Sanchez own mouth. His justification for that choice was pathetic. How do you expect me to believe GGG words if his own coach lacks ambition?
Fourth question.... All these Challengers are talking don’t you think it’s time you put them in their place or make a statement with a dominating performance against a quality operator? He ain’t knocked out ****Comment

Is Gennady Golovkin on His Way to Becoming an All-Time Great?
Kelsey McCarson
Bleacher Report
July27, 2014:
While Golovkin’s aura is still a rising tide, the Kazakhstan-born fighter is already 32 years old. While that’s nothing to be alarmed about at this point, Golovkin isn’t a mid-20s phenom with plenty of time to spare.
He needs big fights, and he needs them now.
Golovkin’s best bet might be moving up in weight to 168 pounds. Taking on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Carl Froch or lineal champion Andre Ward might be a risk worth taking at this point for Golovkin, assuming he can find willing dance partners.
Or if he can’t find something there, Golovkin might need to consider taking a gamble and heading up to 175 pounds, where it seems likely that naturally larger fighters like Jean Pascal or Sergey Kovalev would be willing to step up to the challenge.
No matter what happens next, Golovkin needs big fights against fighters who will make him work. Fans turn on a fighter quickly if he doesn’t step on the gas and take his chances against more elite competition, even if it’s not really his fault.
Boxing demands the best from its stars and even more so from those who hope one day to be considered one of the all-time greats. Golovkin has the talent, skill and ability to warrant discussion as to whether he’s headed toward that lofty status, but he needs the right fights to help make it happen.

wasn't that article prophetic
Golovkin has had plenty of opportunities to make big fights, his career should be much further along than it isComment

to be fair GGG only came to prominence in 2014 and by 2915 Cotto was past prime, beaten by Alvarez..he was knocking out the same fools Golovkin was knocking out
YES, at catchweight..... but catchweight is where Golovkin would have to fight him
considering the fact that Golovkin happily offered Rosado a catchweight..... and considering the fact that AFTER refusing to negotiate on weight with 153lb Cotto, Golovkin then stated that he is willing and able to fight at 154, but nobody will step up.....

that was a HUGE payday, and a HUGE opportunity..... an opportunity that every fighter from 140-160 would have cut off one of his fingers to win..... but, not Golovkin
but cotto was still an option sure, and big money.Comment

Now nitpick lil g.You're kidding.
You gonna nitpick GGG?
How about we nitpick BHop?
His best wins at 160 were against former welters too.
How about we nitpick Monzon ? Napoles and Griffin ? Former welters . Nino ? Former 154 champion.
Fought mostly in his homeland .
How about Hagler ? Let's nitpick his defenses too.
Fought a bum in Caveman Lee. Hell, HBO REFUSED to air that one. Two fights with Hamsho? Duran , Leonard and Hearns were not career middleweights either .
GGG was on the road most of his life and never lost .Comment

yea, whats all that " cleaned out middleweight " rubbish lol ?
I think there are 3 middleweights that could beat him tomorrow..... and a couple more who could give him fits
I bet Golovkin does not fight Jacobs, Canelo, Saunders, in Sep..... despite the fact that Saunders is running around with his "dream", and Canelo is running around with his money
either that or, Canelo > retireComment
