Who exactly was Davis fighting at 19 yrs old?

    Go ahead I’ll Waite.

That guy he fought has never been stopped. He rocked him a few times. But it's tough on young fighters when they run into that first true professional. For 19, he handled himself well.

Garcia in a year or two would toy Davis.

Tank is a fuucking midget at 5’5” Garcia towers over him it’s comical.

Oh that's weird lol I see why he's getting Oscar comparisons. But now he's needs to learn how to move like young Oscar lol if he gets that then he'll beat a lot of people.

It's hard to tell bow far he will go but he's obviously super taleted and ahead of the curve. Beat Velez in only his 15th fight and is only 19. The ig followers and sold out stub hub on short notice is a plus

Vélez is a tester veteran with great names on his resume. Good step up fight

Just explaining the boos, he looked OK to me. He boxed some after he saw the KO wasn't coming. I don't think he's scaring any of the top fighters.

So now we just going to pretend like many weren't predicting that Velez would beat him? Like this wasn't a huge jump up in class? That prospects that are in their mid 20's ain't being matched with guys on Velez level? He dominated won every round did everything but knock the guy out. Of course he can get better at things he is only 19. Lol.

What fighter is a finished product this young and early as a pro? A little perspective is all I'm saying. Got some folks acting like struggled. Say what? You can't win by shutout and the say he struggled. And Velez has never been stopped so I can't beat him up too much because of that.

Anybody who's not hating can see this kid has some solid tools. I'm just thinking about what he needs to get to that next level.

I pretty much agree with all you said here. But he needs a true trainer. He could be special.

Nice W & learning experience for KingRy.

Didn't look as impressive as I'm sure he & GBP would have liked, but its probably better to find out some things that need work in a tougher than normal, but that not THAT tough of a bout vs in a real firefight where a lot more could have gone wrong.
