Khan another fighter who used to be with Haymon signed with Hearn and now it looks like Haymon has no say in who he fights either and has no association with PBC anymore. There is a clear difference in this and the other Haymon guys who have just signed with top rank and hearn who are leaving Haymon and the PBC bubble. So is this deal similar to those guys or is Dana White simply replacing guys like Lou Dibella in the sham promoter PBC bubble but Haymon still picks the fights?

Despite their beefs Haymon has worked with Top Rank and Golden Boy hell Mikey was close to signing to fight Linares early this year. But Dana been screaming for months that when he joins boxing he will flat out not work with either Arum (Top Rank) or Oscar (Golden Boy). If White NOT Haymon is calling the shots in Mikey's career does that effectively kill any fight with Loma/Linares winner? That's what I'm concerned about.
Sam Watson not being there is not an indicator of whether he’s still signed or not.

Even if you feel that there is a difference (well yeah, duh), Jacobs is signed to Haymon. He has confirmed it, Charlo confirmed it, and so have several others.

THIS ^^^^ We need more info but if Dana is now in charge of Mikey's career I think you can cross off any fights with Arum and Oscar. That means no Loma or no Linares if he upsets Loma. As a fan that would phuking suck.

I think we should sit back and see what the structure of this deal is...if there is a deal at all. May not be what we think.

If Haymon is just now a minor background figure who just goes over the contracts after Hearn makes the fights makes no difference to me. Once he signed with Hearn, Hearn is now steering his career, making the fights NOT Haymon. When Haymon uses sham promoters those promoters don't have a say. Just promote the fight for a flat fee. Haymon is controlling everything and more importantly choosing the fights. The fighters who have left PBC and signed with rival promoters don't need to check in with haymon to make fights. And it's a debate on which ones still retain Haymon in any smaller role and which ones don't. I remember folks swearing Haymon would still be thanked and Sam Watson was still going to be in Jacobs ring with him months ago after the signing. That was clearly false and now Jacobs when speaking on fights says talk to Hearn. If Mikey signs with Zuffa who is in control and choosing his opponents Dana White or Haymon? that's the real key

There also appears to be a debate on whether Mikey is in fact signed at all with Haymon or just working on a fight by fight basis. As a fan I hope Haymon is the one calling the shots and not Dana White.

Al stay has say; Danny said so in an interview. Al is still his advisor and co-manager

Another issue if this is like the Hearn signing Dana White months ago said flat out he will not work with Arum or Oscar. Mikey just moved back down to 135 everyone is hoping this is to set up a showdown with the winner of Linares/Loma. I guess that kills those fights because Linares is signed with Golden Boy and Loma is signed with Top Rank. As a fan of Mikey I'm worried this signing. He should just stay free agent and then bounce back and forth to whoever he needs to get the fights.

I've heard people saying that from the get go, but idk if that makes sense for Zuffa Boxing. Idk if that makes sense for PBC for that matter. I do think whatever PBC is these days is in a more fluid form that will re-find what it wants to be at some future date if it is to survive to at some point find a TV deal of some sort one day.
Mickey is arguably the P4P king, I'm not sure why Crawford and Loma are so more obvious choices on this board...

He's a 4 divisions champ (and not ala Broner) while Bud and Loma still are 2 div champs.

Maybe because Mickey is lacking promotion and that's where Dana could help him a lot.
Mickey is a mexican/american great, he should sold out arenas in Texas and Cali.

So Dana would do a big deal here, Floyd has been trying to seduce Mickey for years.

                Lol @ minor background figure.

Anyway, like we said, he is still being paid as the advisor (for a reason, obviously). You can infer whatever you want after that.

Mikey has been saying how he doesn't want a promoter or a contract but now appears to be signing with a promoter who's said he won't work with Showtime, has beef with De La Hoya and hates and won't work with Arum?

He's really going out of his way to not fight Loma it seems. Shame but I'll probably give up on Mikey after his next fight.

Does Haymon have the same say and power over Jacobs career as he did? Yes or No? Who is now picking Jacobs fights Haymon or Hearn? The dynamic has drastically changed. If Haymon is now just a manager/numbers runner instead of the defacto promoter and match maker he used to be. OK. But again Hearn don't need to talk to Haymon to make fights he has control of Jacobs career now that's my point. And are we sure Mikey has a contract with Haymon? But if he does and still works with Haymon will Dana White have say in making fights or is he just a sham promoter like Lou Dibella where Haymon is the real promoter and making the fights? FYI Jamel Herring another former PBC guy who signed with a rival promoter just took shots at Haymon

No, Jacobs is paying him for fun, of course.
