because they make more money in Europe then here.
Why bother coming down here for less money, while you can fight in comfortable settings down there in Europe and for more money.

When they come to the US, they have to follow the rules, and most of the time they lose.

we have 2 great euro middleweight in the world, germany native Sturm and Abraham. why won't they fight in the states? is it the money issue or they want to keep their good records by fighting C class fighter in europe? i really want to see them step up and fight real contenders. Sturm is fighting Javier Castillejo next month. what does Sturm have to gain to fight a ageing former title holder? at least Abraham is set to fight Edison Miranda (a real contender) in Aug. i hope they could stop hiding in their backyard and come oversea to fight.
WHy the **** arent US boxers fighting in Europe? Why do you guys have the notion that title fights should be in the US? Europe is taking over boxing and soon US boxers will be forced to go to Europe and not the other way around. So stop thinking that if theyre good boxers they should come to the states. No. I got the belt and Im from Germany you gotta come get it if u want it.

i believe that U.S. is and always will be the mecca of boxing. where did the recognized world title began? hmm.... U.S., NYSAC and National Boxing Association started from U.S. they were the one of the first boxing organization in the world. if a fighter is a champ or a contender, they should come to U.S. to fight.

one more thing, europe is not taking over boxing... only division that they are good at is heavyweight.
