AJ himself was very quick to say, "Let's roll."

It's not a question of taking the fight without any further details. It's a question of confirming that 50 million would be acceptable if the other details are agreeable.

When you're negotiating a complicated deal, you work on the biggest and most important deal points first. In boxing, the biggest and most important deal point is ALWAYS THE MONEY. Until you've got a mutual understanding on the money, you've got nothing. You don't start negotiating the color of the ring posts and which energy drink will sponsor the fight until you've reached an agreement in principle on what the money would be.

he said offer him $50mil and he would take the fight, he also said lets roll! imagine if wilder said give him 12.5mil and he would take the fight, then it comes and he says lets roll, and days later he and his team starts saying he needs proof the money is there, then the proof comes and then its more excuses, u all would have a field day.

I can't answer for others here Uppercut but to run with your hypothetical scenario...

I wouldn't take 'let's roll' to be the equivalent of:

'I accept any and all terms, will not seek to uphold my contractual obligations to third parties and do not need to know anything further to give full assent.'

In fact I'd be more inclined to take it the way I take all boxers speeches, particularly when being challenged by a rival, as being a mixture of bravado and machismo with very little commercial reasoning as those areas are covered by his manager.

I'd say he would be entitled to ask about the money, but I'd also say that the money could clearly be generated by the proven business model underpinning the offer.

If Hearn refused a meeting or any discussion I'd condemn that action as being contrary to good business practice.

hearn just stated the fight is now 70% complete which means something positive happened no need to focus on something from last week. hopefully the fight is made, but demanding wilder to take 12.5 then switching your tune with this 50mil is a bit rubbish.

How is so? He actually makes an effort to make the big fights, doesnt let his ego get in the way. Doesn't insist on keeping it in house amd so forth

Atleast he actually sent an offer and a contract. Even having he still is willing to meet and negotiate. That is whats important
