I don’t think anyone is doubting Haymon but now am definitely doubting that offer, why? Because they cancel the meeting for Thursday, alarm bells... then they ask to meet on Friday, then they came out with the offer on social media, now Friday meeting is cancelled?

If that isn’t a PR stunt then I don’t know what it is. 50m? And you want email conversations? When you could speak to the guy face to face lol... Gosh thank God we are not all dumb!
No we’re not all that dumb. But man, I’m a little surprised you’re taking this slant.

"Mayweather sat back in his seat, stewed and decided to walk back across the Heat court at halftime to confront Pacquiao, who had gone along with Arum's reporting that the boxer had signed a contract that was only awaiting a Mayweather signature.

"Show me a screen shot of the signed contract," Mayweather said he told Pacquiao, in a moment that was captured by fans on camera phones and later blew up Twitter."

"Mayweather and Pacquiao agreed to meet after the game, and they ultimately united at Pacquiao's hotel room.

There, Pacquiao expressed how serious he was to strike a deal, and Mayweather showed his sincerity by placing an after-midnight phone call to Haymon in front of Pacquiao, telling the manager he wanted the deal, according to fight officials."

If what Floyd says there is true, then the deal had either already been negotiated and just needed the 2 fighters to agree to it, or Haymon and Arum got it made after Floyd rang Haymon up from Manny's hotel.

Oh, I'm not denying that the offer was revealed the way it was as a publicity stunt. That doesn't mean it's not a real offer. You're thinking of it as a "this or that" situation and it's not. Somebody can make a legit offer and choose to reveal the offer in a way that maximizes coverage.

This is 50 million dollars, for that much you would want to sit down with the other side. For them to accept your terms and sign it off. You don’t say “please accept” and we are not ready to meet etc.
How many 50 million dollar deals have you been involved with? Is it possible you wouldn't know how these things work? Nobody is expecting Hearn to legally agree to anything. They're simply asking, man to man, will you agree to 50 if the other issues are taken care of to your satisfaction. If the answer is no, there's no reason to sit down because 50 is the highest Haymon is willing to go.

But sh^t man unless Joshua gets flushed down the toilet in 2 rounds, which I don't think happens anyway, is Joshua's image being destroyed cuz he took a L, assuming hedoes take a L?

I think Joshua earns more fighting Wider vs those 3 dudes vs those 3 dudes + a 4th non-Deontay guy, win, lose or draw so idk if its a real thing or not. I think Joshua's value is gonna be there. UK fans aren't as fairweather as US fans.

Sure they would, but why not hear it officially from someone higher up than Wilder's associate manager? It's a record offered payment for a HW fight.

Check out this article from Ring Magazine which quotes Hearn.

EDDIE HEARN OFFERS DEONTAY WILDER $12.5M TO FIGHT ANTHONY JOSHUA, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT
And after the offer was turned down he invited them to make him a counter offer and arranged a meeting with them to discuss it - which they have now pulled out of, apparently.

Of course but he needs to make sure the money exists and it's not like some investors from the middle east who will give the money half up front and half after PPV's.

If the money is guaranteed then sure I'd sign in a second and so will they. It's incredible money but it's natural to question if it really exists. Could be too good to be true and that appears to be the case since they cancelled today's meeting and tomorrow's after a request to confirm it's genuine.

You DON'T think a beer napkin contract is binding? LOL like I said if you think a contract is some magical thing then fair play, but you're wrong. They aren't. They are a signed deal on paper, any paper.

Maybe you could write a contract on a snow filled car with your finger & take a picture of it too idk.
