There's no such thing as regular champ.

Machado is world champion. That is not changing.

What does it matter who reported it it is pure BS and corrupt what the WBA doing downgrading a fighter who knocked out their champ. And save your agenda BS it wasn't just ring who reported it was for the regular belt many media outlets did including boxingscene.

Former super featherweight champion Gervonta Davis (19-0, 18 KOs) expects a very tough outing when he steps back into the ring on April 21, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Davis will collide with another former champion, Jesus Cuellar, as they battle for the vacant WBA "regular" super featherweight world title. The WBA's "super' champion at 126-pounds is dangerous hitter Alberto Machado of Puerto Rico.

So, that is bullshi t and we can all agree on that. What's the next step? Do any of the so called boxing reporters or Machados prmoter put the WBA under fire because of this?

We as fans dont really have actual power about how they handle things. Casual fans dont bother and hardcore fans complain, but in the end are going to watch the fight (me included).

Is it possible for Machado to sue?

And if you do split the belts why downgrade the man who beat the man and sanction a fight with a inactive cuellar who is coming off a loss and moving up from featherweight? There is no explanation but corruption. If you wanted you could of just mandated machado to fight either guy but it's obvious they want to gift tank another title. And cuellar going from unranked to number 1 ranked after the Davis fight was made is shady as phuk.
Totally agree friend, watch all these spineless commentators tonight not even mention the fact that Machado just one this title in his last fight and against the actual champion who beat the champ before.

The WBA has no respect for the fans or the fighters.

And didn't they just release a statement saying they were cutting down on all these secondary belts? How you gonna create two belts by downgrading the actual champion?

Showtime announcers not even mentioning what is going on with the WBA or machado being the real champ. Shame on showtime and WBA.

Because the truth matters. From the day the fight was announced, the WBA and Showtime made it very clear it was for the super championship. If you choose to read sites with shoddy reporting, that is your problem.

You accusing boxingscene of shoddy reporting? And it's not about who reported it the issue is why was machado downgraded and tank/cuellar corruptly made a vacant belt for the super belt? Why was cuellar a featherweight coming off a loss and 16 months inactivity mysteriously ranked number 1 after this fight was made? Shaddy as phuk and bogus but of course you trying to make this about Ring and not about WBA

You called it gutless for showtime to not even mention this or the fact the wba just split the title and screwed the man who kod the champ just a few months ago. No mention of super or regular belts just claimed this was for the 130 WBA championship and swept it under the rug. SMH
