Because its the fight that makes the most sense for both guys. Biggest fight. They'll make the most money. There is bad blood. Both guys are convinced they won the first fight. It makes too much sense for them not to fight or to delay the fight past September.

I was asking if the fight is agreed for September. Is it? People make it sound as though it is.

Do you have any real reason to believe the fight won't happen is September to counter the many reasons people think the fight will happen in September? Or are you just speculating. Its still 2 weeks before the date the original rematch was scheduled and you're demanding hard facts from sources about a fight in September?

The only side I hear talking about this fight is GGG's and his fans. Haven't seen or heard anything about Canelo's or GBP's take on it. Have they even mentioned it once since the cancellation?

It sounds more like they are trying to justify a duck.

Promoters can play hardball with HBO just like they can with Showtime, ESPN etc etc. And besides, common knowledge HBO isn't the boxing powerhouse they once were. Just sayin'. It would've been a he!!uva fight that would have generated great ratings... IOW back end money down the road for a rematch or whatever. A good negotiator could've sold it.

No they have to start negotiations from the ground up again. They're old contract is not valid anymore because of the fight was postponed for PED's and not an injury.

Ggg has been on record saying he wants all the belts. Then he passes on the Saunders fight twice to fight Canelo for money. Then blasts all the other boxers for being “business men”. His exact quote “ this is boxing, I respect sport Max, Canelo no respect sport, he business man”
