This is the most interesting part of the list for me. Im very surprised they still arent being VADA tested...

Pretty much. As I've said previously, the whole thing is a bit slippery. Basically they say it's a 365/24/7 testing program but apparently your standard pre-fight 8 week schedule counts towards the testing criteria, so when they release the lists of tested fighters the vast majority are those who'd be being tested anyway as part of their fight contracts.

I've still got some digging to do, because this shouldn't be the case - in fact, the language of the protocols indicates that pre-fight testing is counted as in-competition' testing but I've already noticed a large preponderance of names on the quarterly lists for 'out of competiton testing' are those of fighters who have fought or are scheduled to fight that quarter.

What it looks like tallies with what some industry insiders have noted (and also with the reports that basically WBC aren't funding VADA for the year round testing), that there's actually very little testing going on apart from what is agreed to, and paid for by the fighters themselves.

And therein lies the biggest problem with their CBP program. CAN it catch people? Sure it can. But only during those 8 weeks. It's in their best interest to NOT catch fighters out of training, so big fights can be negotiated.

They aren't interested in catching them outside of the 8 weeks. Atleast, that's the impression they give by not testing outside of the 8 weeks.

Was pretty interesting that Floyd Sr. pointed out that he hasn't knocked anyone out since they started testing him.

Are we even surprised about Pacquio though it was obvious lol. That’s why he experiencing all this bad karma from cheating and lying to the public.

I think you’re right. This is a very cynical piece of PR.

I also think where you have a boxer like Peterson who tested positive and was banned before, they shouldn’t sanction any fights for that boxer again unless they are testing, it’s common sense really.
