He can't sell 10,000 tickets when he fights in a great fight in America. And we have a guy who is making all of this money, and can continue doing so, in risk free fights. Now you're asking our guy to be in the biggest fight of his career for a little more.

"People don't understand the simple economics and the reality of the situation. One guy is earning $2.5 million dollars and the other is earning ten times as much. Joshua has overpaid his opponents. He overpaid Charles Martin, he overpaid Dillian Whyte, he overpaid Breazeale, he overpaid Takam, he overpaid Parker. We ain't doing it again. We're not going to overpay Deontay Wilder for this fight.

Well said. Wilder, his team and his fans are really ****ing dumb.
Wouldn't he be th 1 guy you would wanna over pay to get the last belt and get the fight the fans want to see the most ? ? You guys have a weird way of thinking if you think like this , make it a 65-35 split . Wilder regardless of competion is the longest reigning champ with 7 defense and if he is so terrible and an easy out pay him get the final belt and move on never to hear from wilder again , or is that a bad idea ?

Floyd and Manny typically got 5-10X their opponents pay. When Floyd fought Ortiz and Guerrero who were both champions, they got about $2M each while Floyd was guaranteed $25 - 32M. I'd say Wilder's lack of popularity is on par with Ortiz and Guerrero at that time. Manny got $20M to Mosley and Marquez' $5M. Mosley and Marquez are/were far more popular at the time than Wilder is today.

This is the problem with boxing. Fans should remember they are the ones that put money into the sport. Promoters are only playing with money that comes from paying customers. Fans should be demanding the best fights get made at all costs, rather than taking sides of promoters and justifying things.

Or Wilder can accept 6x his highest pay day and get a shot at all the marbles, or he can go back to fighting for 1 or 2 mil. Wilder is the one that needs it most. Why should Joshua overpay the clown for a fight he should be taking whatever the offer.

At the end of the day this is the way I expect Team Joshua to look at things from their side. No one is going to do Team Wilder a favour in negotiations.

How is that the truth ? lol

Hes argiung about the very thing hes complaining about and thats MONEY .

In reality the Wilder fan club is bracing for damage control and are going to use MONEY as the reason why the fight didnt happen and that EXCUSE will be a bad offer ftom Hearn which they will TRY and justify !

Lets just make the best fights though right ? :wank:

Because PPV? Well guess what, Wilder is not a PPV star.

Also, people saying they should offer him 30%. How exactly is that fair on Joshua.

He just added another world title to his collection and you want him to accept the same percentage or less!? Get real.
This is the problem and reason why the boxing world as well as myself will disregard Joshua’s career.
