What GGG is doing is unprecedented. He's going out of his way to pick a fighter who hasn't fought in 2 years and moving up a weight class.
Two different fighters two different situations.
You cant say cause this fighter done this in this situation then it has to be the same way for every other fighter.

The WBC made fat bum Stiverne, who had only 1 fight in 2 years, in which he got dropped by a journeyman, and failed a PED test, the mandatory! The only "mandatory" Wilder ever fought. What a sham... The last real WBC champ was Vitali.

Who exactly stepped up to fight GGG other than Vanes and maybe some other idiot that only just talks and never shows up?

Dervy wants more money? According to who? And IBf are ready to strip GGG when he fights Vanes.

He also said he only wanted Joshua, then rejected his good offer and signed a deal to face Brezeale.

So how can we believe in anything this guy says. Proven liar.

Fat old stiverne was a great stand in. He put in a real top class performance. Apparantly Joyce was knocking the crap out of him in sparring too.

Stiverne was in the same weight class and was training for a fight on the undercard, si?

I don't get how you can strip someone when
                    1. You gave the go ahead for a fight with Canelo on May 5th
                    2. You never ordered the mandatory fight to start negotiations or go to purse bid.

It would be logical to me to wait until May 7th and then order the fight to start negotiations. If GGG signs to fight BJS then it's a unification and it trumps the mando and there's nothing Derevyanchenko can do.

If he signs to fight Canelo, he gets stripped and everyone moves on.

                    Seems easy to me.

The IBF probably allow GGG a chance to make his money in a rematch with Canelo, once the rematch isn’t happening they wanted their mandatory to get his chance. As long as they are consistent with the way they do it then I have no issue with it. No one gains from a Vanes fight apart from the two parties involve.
