But if the other contenders are leaving the wbc for that reason, doesn't it just mean that they ducking Alvarez? Coz Alvarez has fought an eliminator every time he took a step aside deal.

So then, by process of elimination, the people that are allegedly leaving the rankings are either the ones who already lost a title eliminator to Alvarez, or are not confident they can beat Alvarez to become the mandatory, in other words, ducking.

Watching Jacobs and Charlo my first impression is Jacobs is more versatile. Depends if Charlo can take a punch from a good middleweight and can he get past Golovkin's jab.

I tend to agree, good analysis. Danny was a very good amateur/can really box, and for me Danny still lost that fight clearly...I don't think Charlo is really on Danny's level as far as boxing ability, from the few rounds I've seen of him. Charlo's only advantage as this point is he has never really been tested at the top level (besides Trout) and he has more or less excelled against everyone else...so who really knows what he has at that top level.

Honestly I feel a little bad for him though...all his 'fans' are really hyping him up since they want GGG to lose. He's improved a lot the last couple years (it is a little su****ious imo) but as soon as he has a performance like Andrade did against Culcay everyone will throw him to the side and try and find someone else.

I personally don't think he's quite ready for a top middleweight, but we will probably see soon. And he is 27 so if he isn't ready now he may not ever be. I think Heiland would have been a good test if healthy. From what I've seen of Centeno he sucks so I'm not expecting any challenge there, but it should give a decent idea of what Charlo's level is right now. If he struggles at all he is not ready for the top guys.

Wilder has been managed very well and has really improved, but is only just now ready for primetime. Crawford is good as well, top 10 p4p. But will be interesting to see how he does at higher weights. Fight with Horn is a good test for him. Thurman has talent but he isn't really much to brag about right now homie. The Charlos are good but really unproven at this point. Definitely a lot of hype/hope placed in them right now.

And Ward is one of the most overrated boxers ever. It is well documented that they tried to form his career the same way Mayweather's was, since Mayweather made so many people in boxing so much money. Ward never fought out of his own backyard with his own judges/refs. Never took any risks/turned down big money fights in foreign countries/dropped belts. You can't overlook those big things and then try to hate on GGG.

If Ward was from South Africa, Saudi Arabia, or South America he would have about 5 losses on his record by now, through DQ or just losing on the cards. Watch the Bika and Barrera fights, if you haven't. There is literally nothing between the guys in either fight. And those two guys are blacker than Ward and not American (whose dad was white as I'm sure you know), so I have no vested interest at all in rooting for them over Ward.
