Huh? That's just the way boxing works. When you have multiple belts, you have to defend each one. They take turns alternating which sanctioning body will get it's turn. That's just how it works. You don't get to just cut in front of everyone else just because you feel as though you have a shot. When multiple belts are on the line, you have to wait your turn. Pretty simple concept.Comment

Wait, what? Fans have no bearing on which sanctioning body gets their chance to enforce a mandatory. You're implying fans do. Which is false. That's simply not how it works.
Jermall is good boxer. He'll get his turn. In the meantime, hopefully he keeps kicking @ss, developing his skills, and racking up good wins against good opposition. That way, once his time comes, he'll be able to maximize on it in every way.Comment

I understand you're a fan of Jermall. That much is VERYYYYY clear. Again though, fans don't have ANY say on who gets a shot next, when multiple belts are on the line.
Gabe Rosado has fans. You think they're thinking "maybe if we all talk about it a bit more then Rosado will get his shot again" ?? That's simple not how it works.

Okay. So you have the money to pay both the IBF and WBA mandatory fighters, and the IBF and WBA sanctioning fees, and enough money to keep the unification from happening. That's incredible.
Even then, that's not how it works.
I understand, you're a fan of Jermall. You want him to fight GGG now, even though he has a fight in 3 days. The time is now. I get it.
Boy I tell ya. SMH
He will get his shot at a title.Comment

All of their fans wants to see their fighter fight GGG.
Based on your logic, if GGG doesn't fight Jermall next (even though it's not his turn) then THE ONLY REASON it won't happen is because GGG fans are afraid to see GGG lose to Jermall - and Jermall only.
You still have this mindset that fans get to determine which order the belts are defended. It just doesn't work that way.Last edited by Street15; 04-18-2018, 08:32 AM.Comment

Was the wbc wrong for suspending Stevenson's mandatory obligations so that the Kovalev fight can be made? I don' think so.
Their reasons made perfect sense, and once it became clear Duva and HBO weren't going to cut a deal with Showtime and Lou Dibella, they scheduled a title eliminator to get a mandatory for Stevenson. Can't blame the wbc for the mandatory taking step aside money.
If you're aware the Alvarez/Stevenson/Dibella are abusing a flaw in the plan, then what are you getting a? Why you blaming the wbc for this?Comment

What's your point here exactly? I'm not getting it.

"We are addressing this matter... and Kovalev hurt the process as well but it's unacceptable to continue. WBC is ruling soon," stated Sulaiman.
"But the WBC appears to take issue with this situation, because there have been numerous step-aside deals, and numerous orders to fight Alvarez, and the other ranked fighters under the WBC are becoming irritated over a scenario where everyone ranked under Alvarez continue to wait with no title shot openings in sight and some are abandoning the WBC to pursue light heavyweight title opportunities in the other sanctioning bodies."
All taken from the same article. I don't get why it took them this long to realize that there was a problem with this.Comment

It is suspect how the Charlo Bros. can go to the front of the line and only have to fight no-hopers to get there. Charlo should have had to fight Jacobs. Uncle Al won't have it.Comment

I don't think it's suspect as Charlo did beat Heiland who was a mando himself. However, I fully support the need for mandatories to thin their own ranks before getting a crack at the title. They all want to fight subpar competition in order not to jeopardize potential showdown with either Golovkin or Canelo. They're all businessmen.Comment
