Seems a bit odd to schedule a sit down meeting in a different country if they are so scared. Or could it be that too many posters here were being childish and petty jumping to conclusions too soon? I think that's most likely. Boxing is a great sport but I'll admit we probably have the dumbest, most impatient and cynical fans of any sport and it's not even close.

The fight will be signed this year. I have been saying that for the last 7-8 months and it looks like I will be proven correct. I thought it would be signed this year and scheduled for next but it appears it will likely to happening this year after all.

This time next year the Joshua-Wilder discussions will be about who ducked who still after the fight happens and if (when) Joshua wins Wilder's fans will mostly be gone.

Article just posted and already we have b*tches on here poppin negative ****. A sitdown is far better than swapping emails. I will keep saying this, there are certain fans out here that hope this fight doesn't happen and would rather sit back and talk trash about the other side than actually see a good scrap.

Plenty on BOTH sides. Robbie and Curt are two examples of dudes more into the avoiding talk than the actual fight and though they may believe in their man I think they get more of a kick out of the squabbling then the actual fight itself.

I'm certain that this time next year the fight will be done and dusted and people will still cry over who didn't want it and all kinds of garbage. Joshua may (probably will) get the W and what's left of Wilder's fan base will still be like "He didn't want it though. They had to force him"..

[QUOTE=Deus;18679076]Find it intriguing that Wilder's team still hadn't sent across a counter offer though... how long does it take? Guess it doesn't matter if they're going to meet up in NY next week.

I was thinking the same thing until I read that they have been talking back and forth. I'm assuming that there was no need to send over a counter-offer since they were going to have a sit-down meeting coming up.

The fact that there's a sit down meeting scheduled between adults after an opening offer and rejection says yes he has given the green line to work out a deal.

Joshua will knock Wilder out and we'll get posts and threads about how AJ is lucky all the best american HWs are in the NFL, NBA, NASCAR etc and that Wilder wasn't all that (most of us already know this).
