He wasn't the mandatory for Martinez. Loeffler said Martinez didn't duck him. He accepted step aside agreements for Cotto. Don't try to make him the victim here. And Canelo fought him. So Strum didn't give him an opportunity when the had the same promoter. Just like the Alvarez/Stevenson situation but I don't see nobody crying crocodile tears for Alvarez

I will only say two things. Dibella is full of shhhh because he's got one of the most cringe worthy quotes ever from a promoter regarding why his fighter shouldn't fight Golovkin and for the record i'm a super Martinez fan and my post history has that proof and I personally consider that a duck. Second, they did Dibella a favor to get Martinez one last fat check with the understanding the next challenger for that belt regardless of who won between Martinez and Cotto would fight Golovkin next, we saw how that went...then again people like rewriting history even though all of this is in print online..literally searches away.

since the very second Billy-Joe Saunders stated that he would be available to fight Golovkin in June, there has only been one fight to make

that fight was just sitting there..... they had a window of opportunity AND they had a willing participant..... but unbelievably, Team Bullshht dropped the ball..... AGAIN !!

2) they are avoiding Derevyanchenko
3) Golovkin is FIXATED with fighting a scrub in May

those three factors lead me to believe that Golovkin will..... 1) select the easiest no-hoper possible, to break Hopkins record..... 2) cash out with Canelo..... and then 3) retire

otherwise..... why would they INTENTIONALLY create a log-jam in September..... they know that fighting a scrub now will kill a much better fight down the road

Golovkin already has one foot out the door imho..... he aint gonna fight those lions, he has never been about that life, otherwise at least one of the fights I mentioned in the post above would have happened..... but NONE of them did

Dude the guy was the mandatory to the WBC belt for like 2 1/2 almost three years and ended up watching it go from Martinez, to cotto, to canelo, to eventually having the belt dropped. That's three fighters on a waiting list, granted Martinez situation was bit on the extreme with the leg injury and then Cotto with his seasonal pic of dates and then Canelo with his two dates per year.

FACT: Golovkin could have fought Cotto AND Canelo..... and he could have done it LONG before now

Cotto had one simple request, a request that was no problem for any other middleweight

Golovkin inexplicably refused to negotiate on weight with Cotto, removing himself from consideration in the process..... (and Golovkin was WELL-AWARE that refusing a catchweight would kill that fight, so stop making silly excuses for the ******)..... then Mr "anyone from 154-168" publicly stated that he is willing and able to fight at 154, but nobody will step up LOOOOL

oh, and he happily offered Gabe Rosado a catchweight

and Canelo was sitting there at 155, Golovkin would likely have gotten that fight (and Cotto) at 157..... just like Geale did

Damage that's why, he'd win the fight but it would in effect put him off from fightin again this summer if they can get BJS and granted an injury at his age in a fight would probably put him off from a rematch in September. I think you are really looking at this illogically in terms of timelines. There isn't another champion in any division that's going to take a fight against a guy like Derevyechenko on three weeks notice...not a single one. i'm sorry I know this guy is held to ridiculous standards of "do what I want you to do" and if you don't "I told ya'll so." Sergiy is not an easy fight for anyone at 160. He wants a tune up because he's screwed on short notice, I think it's pretty fair to let him have one if he's targeting canelo and bjs for the fall..either one are fights we actually want to see, one for vengeance and one for unification. It's not like he won't ever get the fight, they just feel they'd like a full camp for any opponent and that's a pretty fair thing to request as champion and at his age. He didn't create this situation he's just forced to deal with it. At this point, just give Sergiy a million get saunders as soon as you can and unify. Then fight all the mando's back to back..i can live with that because those are all credible opponents.

Spoken exactly how I expected, you trian for your opponent you watch tape on your opponent you practice you strategy based on your opponent. Preparation means nothing to you because you aren't getting what you want. That's fine, i've come to accept your view on things when they dont' fit your personal expectations. As i've said before, he didn't create this situation, he's in the middle of dealing with it. He can fight whom he wants so long as he fights his mandatories or fights BJS in the fall which is all we can ask of him right now. Boxers are ritualistic in how they do things, as are practically all athletes, you can't grasp that understanding...well hell there is always UFC for you.
