Comments Thread For: Nelson: If Wilder Turns Down Joshua Offer - It Doesn't Look Good

I’ve said this time and again. One side is making all the moves (Hearn) while the other side is just complaining, constantly.
It just seems like all Wilder and his team want to do is sit back while Hearn rolls out the red carpet, mouth off on social media, complain, and talk about how AJ doesn’t want the fight.
If 12.5m isn’t enough then counter, like Parker did, and make the fight happen. Don’t just sit on your arse talking about how AJ doesn’t want to fight.
Question for both. If Hearn took the Parker contract, erased Parker and put Wilder do you think this fight gets made?Comment

What was the Joshua - Parker fight worth in total? That would be a good place to start calculating what the Wilder fight might be worth.
If you say the fight is worth $100 million then break it down - how did you get to that figure. Sounds like they can't which is why Joshua called them on it.
So if its not worth $100M is it worth £50M? If so, 12.5M is a guaranteed 25%.
Besides, Wilder made 11.1million over his 8 title defences, 12.5 is way beyond a number he's ever managed to pull in beforehand, his team talking bigger money isn't really washing it.Comment

I'm not sure what Wilder's side brings except a belt and a win over Ortiz. Joshua isn't short of pretty good paydays whoever he fights.Last edited by Reverb; 04-15-2018, 10:12 AM.Comment

The question is does Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder have a large enough crossover pay per view audience on American pay per view television to sell globally?
Team Joshua and especially Matchroom boxing doesn't appear to believe so. They believe the fight will only sell regionally in the U.K. They're banking on most of their profits to come from the live gate.Comment

What does that have to with anything pu55y? Explain how your personal attack is relevant to the comment he made, coward? Oh, I forgot you can't because you're a pu55y.
His comment is absolutely correct. Windmill hasn't even made $2 mil for a fight contrary to the propaganda out there. Parker made about $9 mil for the Joshua fight and Winmill is a marginal star in the US who can't even sell one PPV without Joshua. Windmill should just fly coach to the UK and stay at the equivalent to a Motel 6 as a way to cut back expenses but it's $12.5 and in the UK or Windmill can go back to fighting Bum Squad fatsos with ******* for $1.5 mil.Comment

This is what I will never I understand with fighters. If 2.5 million is the most you ever made in a fight, what’s wrong with 12.5 million? Be realistic. Do you want the fight or not? Take the 12.5 million, beat Joshua, and your the KING of the division. UNLESS, you don’t believe you can beat Joshua and you are trying to get the most you can now.Comment

again it would more depend on the total money at the end
if its projected to make money than no 12.5 is a lowball offer especially since its a flat feeComment
