"They are really punishing Gennady Golovkin [by offering a flat fee] .... because it's just a way to avoid to Golovkin, .it's a way of saying we do not want the fight. We are not going to pay you that much, would you like to accept it?" Go ahead. Logically they can generate $200 or 300 million [from the pay-per-view event], which is just an estimate," Marquez told Golpe a Golpe.

"If the fight will generate a certain amount, they have to pay Golovkin well, because Canelo is not the only one in the fight. Canelo Alvarez is the one with the popularity, but he has to accept the contest with Golovkin if he wants to prove that he's the best in the division. So if they offer Golovkin 30, 35, 40% [I think the fight will get done]."

Yet some of these AJ fans wanna speak like only Wilder fans think a flat fee is bogus.

There are AJ fans who said the flat fee was Canelo ducking that now say Wilder is ducking for not taking the flat fee. To me, a lot of AJ fans don't want the fight.

If 12.5m isn’t enough then counter, like Parker did, and make the fight happen. Don’t just sit on your arse talking about how AJ doesn’t want to fight.

I can understand how it could appear that all Wilders team is doing is sitting back and crying about money. Let's take a step back though. Location depends on who makes the offers. Why? Promoters have relationships with venues and vendors. Essentially, Hearn knows the UK venues and market better than Dibella and vice versa. So far nothing AJ has said indicates he will come to the US other than a $50M guarantee. That would take a $140M revenue fight to make it sensible from a business perspective (half the revenue goes to network). So the fight is easier to make in the UK and comes with less financial risk. Thus Team Wilder looking for Hearn to lead but no do all.

Question for both. If Hearn took the Parker contract, erased Parker and put Wilder do you think this fight gets made?

If you say the fight is worth $100 million then break it down - how did you get to that figure. Sounds like they can't which is why Joshua called them on it.
So if its not worth $100M is it worth £50M? If so, 12.5M is a guaranteed 25%.
        Exactly.
Besides, Wilder made 11.1million over his 8 title defences, 12.5 is way beyond a number he's ever managed to pull in beforehand, his team talking bigger money isn't really washing it.

Parker made better money before Joshua than Wilder has.
I'm not sure what Wilder's side brings except a belt and a win over Ortiz. Joshua isn't short of pretty good paydays whoever he fights.

The question is does Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder have a large enough crossover pay per view audience on American pay per view television to sell globally?

Team Joshua and especially Matchroom boxing doesn't appear to believe so. They believe the fight will only sell regionally in the U.K. They're banking on most of their profits to come from the live gate.

What does that have to with anything pu55y? Explain how your personal attack is relevant to the comment he made, coward? Oh, I forgot you can't because you're a pu55y.

His comment is absolutely correct. Windmill hasn't even made $2 mil for a fight contrary to the propaganda out there. Parker made about $9 mil for the Joshua fight and Winmill is a marginal star in the US who can't even sell one PPV without Joshua. Windmill should just fly coach to the UK and stay at the equivalent to a Motel 6 as a way to cut back expenses but it's $12.5 and in the UK or Windmill can go back to fighting Bum Squad fatsos with ******* for $1.5 mil.

This is what I will never I understand with fighters. If 2.5 million is the most you ever made in a fight, what’s wrong with 12.5 million? Be realistic. Do you want the fight or not? Take the 12.5 million, beat Joshua, and your the KING of the division. UNLESS, you don’t believe you can beat Joshua and you are trying to get the most you can now.

                    • again it would more depend on the total money at the end

if its projected to make money than no 12.5 is a lowball offer especially since its a flat fee
