If there’s a log jam come sept hopefully the IBF realizes that Canelo or Saunders fights trump a Devechenko fight but I dont know the sanctioning bodies rules enough to give a concrete answer on to what the IBF will decide. But for me it’d be a shame to strip Gennady when he has 2 career defining fights in the pipeline but if the IBF wants to strip him and get a pittance of the sanctioning $ with Devechenko compared to what a Canelo or Saunders fights will get them then do it

It’s clear we won’t agree so there’s no point going back and forth

You think Gennady is the biggest coward and ducker in the sport And I don’t . its all good

Let’s keep it moving, have a good one

    no

I think that he is a protected fighter..... a network darling..... and clearly not about that life

that is not the same thing

For sure he’s HBos darling because he has a exciting style and can generate ratings and $

I thinks hes protected the same way other fighters that have a bit of clout are and definitely Loeffler has been risk averse throughout his career because he’s the only commodity he really has that can sell

I wouldn’t say over rated he’s clearly been the #1 MW for years and holds the crown

he’s definitely about that life though. The guy grew up in a war torn country lost his brothers and wasn’t given sh.it or any handouts and managed to make something out of himself , his style is apply constant pressure and there’s yet to be a fighter that can stand toe to toe with him

Everything about him screams he’s about that life as a fighter

        no
        no
        no
        no
        no

Loeffler works for Golovkin, NOT the other way around

FACT: Gennady approved/rejected every single opponent put in front of him, he had the final say..... including Munguia Spike and Vanes

Canelo demanded Lara, against the wishes of his promoter..... and he did that because fans were saying that Lara could beat him

Golovkin on the other hand, is well-aware that he has been widely criticized for his resume and opponent selection..... and yet, he selected Munguia Spike and Vanes

he clearly aint about that life, or he would do something about the criticism..... like Canelo did

I think that some of the excuses coming from Golovkin have been shameful..... especially concerning Mora, Ward, Lara, Cotto, and Canelo..... but also, their total lack of genuine interest in Saunders is baffling

he is like someones ******ed little brother, there are always people running around making excuses for him

            Completely different circumstances

Canelo has been the golden child of the sport since he arrived getting favourable treatment throughout

When you have the power and essentially always the A-side generate huge $ you have every fighter with in your weight running towards you for the payday and exposure especially in my opinion a fighter like Canelo who if he had to fight on a level playing field would lose to most of the top guys.

Gennady was in boxing purgatory at the start of his career had no fans or hype and instead of helping his career his promoters did their best to keep him away from their $ fighter ( Sturm )

Loeffler took a chance on a unheard of KazaK with no fans and brought no $ to the table through great promoting got him to be one of the biggest stars in the sport obviously he’s going to let him guide his career. But from reports it was Gennady who pushed for the Jacobs fight who wouldn’t take the fight if it had to be for the predetermined split. Its funny that you never mention the fighters throughout the years that wanted no piece of the man

Yeah his team didn’t want Lara because he has a style that even if he didn’t win would make Gennady look vunerable l. It’s the same way Canelo and his handlers avoided Andrade even when he had the strap and Canelo team straight avoided him

Canelo ( who I’m not a fan of ) and Gennady are both Gs and about that life they are fighters through and through and would fight anyone put in front of them

You win I’mma tap out because we’re just running around in circles and neither of us will change each others mind

              Canelo earned his position

he fought the 4x best JMW's consecutively, and he did what he needed to do in order to make BIG fights with Mayweather and Cotto..... then he jumped a division and fought a supposed killer in his first real fight at 160

whereas I feel that Gennady has been happy to be molly-coddled

props for keeping it real about Lara, but that also extended to Mora, and to a certain extent Ward

we can agree to disagree, no tap-out required

              peace

I feel he should fight on May 5th. At his age, and after being in a training camp already, I don't think it does him any favours to stop then resume another camp down the line.

He will of been out of the ring a good while by then. I think he should keep his body ticking over by fighting in May regardless of the opponent.

The cons are what opponent it could end up being..will the IBF look to strip him if he faces Vanes? Will HBO still be looking for a PPV?

I guess things will be clearer in a few days after the Canelo hearing. I'd like to see him plan ahead without Canelo now, but I guess that's easy for me to say as it's not me who's in-line to make the money at stake.

GGG fans are trying to hide their "hurt", because of the reality that GGG doesnt have enough fans to carry a PPV, and his usual list of cans will not cut it.

Sorry, but that just comes off like a weak excuse

                      look what happened with Gassiev.....

like I told you guys last week..... that is EXACTLY what they could have done with Golovkin if he had selected Saunders in June

give him a 7-10 day break, even 14 days, to avoid over-training..... on FULL diet, light road-work only, purely maintenance..... while they arrange some lefties..... and then slide Golovkin back into the groove with up to a 7 or even 8-week camp should they deem it necessary

they had plenty of time, that is standard simple stuff..... and they had a willing opponent

that fight COULD have happened, but it did not..... AGAIN
