doesn't sound like a big deal at all. Everybody knows he's not fighting any time soon. At the earliest Sept. So this is the perfect time to get anything checked or looked at. He has plenty of time to be ready to fight by Sept. This is like a player who has a nagging issue and if were the season he play through it but since it's the off-season get it done. His fight was already canceled he's basically on vacation.

I think the same. It's not the biggest of deals. However, if it's for something more serious, then who knows. Bone spurs, mcl injuries, meniscus issues have known to have adverse effects on tons of athletes.

Though, in all likelihood, it's probably something really insignificant.

Those type of knee surgeries only have you out for about 2 months. If he has mcl/acl injuries however, you're right, no need to rush back. And if that's the case, I smell a 1yr suspension coming. The timing is just too convenient

Sounds like he is preparing to be suspended for 6 months to a year so might as well clean out a knee that likely been giving him problems for awhile

If he had MCL or ACL surgery he's done for a year. But apparently it's not THAT serious. Besides, we still have to see what happens at this hearing. He may not be able to fight this year anyway.

Could be a variety of things. Why he would get it done in Mexico is beyond me. Best surgeons are in the USA.
