So how come charlo and andrade are amazing opponents but vanes is a joke fight?
not saying hes amazing but he certainly isnt some scrub by looks of it.
makes me laugh, a lot of you guys wank over austin trout (see thread 'everyone should be like trout') but him and vanes both seem to have similar records, falling just short against the top fighters in the division.
In my opinion its a good stay busy fight which should go a few rounds as noone else has stopped him.
Looks more proven than derevyanchenko, unless you think vanes wouldnt be able to beat grandpa soliman.
Holy shyt. You're just unbelievable. Go away.

I can't get excited by this fight. Not one iota of interest. Better he canceled and fight his mand or cancel altogether and get on the phone with Warren for a Saunders fight in June, bloody hell.... Warren has asked for it too!!!

Spike is about 10 times more credible of an opponent than Vanes. And even a match up with Spike would have garnered criticism.

At the end of the day, **** Canelo for being a cheater.

Vanes is a tough dude, he will come to fight, has a good chin and a big heart. GGG should obviously win but Vanes is not a push over who's only there for a paycheck.

He's pretty bad of an opponent, basically tune-up level for a world class MW. If he moved up to MW, he would be somewhere around Spike's level - ~top20 or so.

Yes...TERRIBLE and that is not to bash GGG because it is not his ***ing fault that Canelo had to Pull Out he shouldn't be scrambling for an opponent

But yeah Vanes is not a good choice not at all but I understand just wanting to get some work and hoping that he gets Canelo in September which I don't see happening

HOW IN THE HELL CAN YA'LL TRY TO SUGARCOAT THIS?
To be fair he fought the creme de la creme of his division.

He didn't get koed or harshly dominated in those 3 losses, lost some 5-7 rounds decision and beat Charlo according to many.

It was a trash fight, but the funny thing is Bermane was Wilder's mandatory. People on here would at least be happy if GGG fought his IBF mandatory on short notice in Derevyanchenko

Bad promotion all over. they just needed to find a decent middleweight from the ranks. thats all

lot of crybabies in this thread and too much to respond too directly. who the **** else do you want him to fight? why are you all making out dereveyanchenko is so much better? his best win is sam soliman. NEITHER guy is some blockbuster fight but tough **** thats what happens when someone pulls out a few weeks before the fight. basically whoever he fights youre all gonna say he should fight someone different. noones stopped vanes, hes been competitive with world class fighters and its a decent STAY BUSY fight which is what ggg needs at this age. just cause he fights vanes now doesnt mean theres not gonna be a good fight later on in the year. if you look at pretty much every other p4p top 10 fighter, they dont fight a killer every fight, your idol spence just fought peterson ffs, charlos fighting washed up trout. these arent even stand in opponents, these are scheduled fights lol. so quit crying about golovkin.
