SO if the fight is $100 million, give Joshua $50 million, so it is a 50/50 split and in fact, Wilder can make more.

As others have explained... Team Wilder were acting like dumb asses, Joshua just called them out on it.

Foh 50 million was not in negotiations. It was something AJ blurted out AFTER the fact he tried to lowball Wilder with a 88/12 split. Wilder called his bs saying except that same offer in a rematch.

I mean irrespective of the fact I like both these fighters, (Wilder a little more because I find him entertaining, and you know, the Knock outs), I gotta say, these AJ fanagers are probably the legit ******est bunch of ignorant, non-knowledgeable people on these forums. I mean simple math - If the fight makes $100 million, and Wilder and AJ agree to a 50-50 split, a guarantee of $50 million, 50+50= 100. Please explain to me how that works? If the estimated fight revenue is $100 million, then that means the cut for the fighters will be far less. which means a 50-50 split would probably be closer to about $30 million each, Great deal for Wilder, what the Fhuck is wrong with you guys lmao. I just can't.

Here are people so naive ... neither Joshua the great thing nor Wilder so much ... not because I'm a fan of Joshua I'm going to despise Wilder, nor because I'm a Wilder fan I'm going to despise Joshua ... ... you have to take things in their right perspective ... an agreement 60-40 It's the fairest for both, with Joshua at 60% because he exposes more and because he sells more, but he does not deny that Wilder has a great probability of knocking out Joshua, that his punch is huge and that the fact that Joshua boxes better makes this fight a very even and intriguing one, worthy of a unification fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship! It will be an epic battle that both will give us and both have to earn good money .... this fight will be worth every penny they charge to see it!

That's the entire point KnickTillDeath, it doesn't add up.

Finkel and some Wilder fans have been calling Joshua's 12.5mil flat fee as 12.5% percent.

Joshua then called his bluff to Finkel claiming that it was 12.5% by saying that in which case if Wilder's team can guarantee him 50mil then he'll sign right now as it was Wilder's team that claimed that the pot for the 2 fighters will be 100mil.

Of course none of this changes that Hearn was a total slime ball for offering a flat fee in the first place... Hopefully the second round of negotiations they all get reasonable and work in percentages.

Precisely.......Be a man and take the same in a rematch in the USA. It shouldn’t be hard for aj because they believe the us will not sell.

And this is the clou....they know after a possible showdown in the UK....a possible rematch in Vegas will likely sell way more. So they dont want to accept the same lowball offer because then Wilder would have made more over 2 fights!!!
