No risky fights before Canelo rematch it would seem so the IBF should strip him but the sanctioning fees will be worth the wait I would imagine. In this instance an interim belt would suffice with the interim champion being promoted to full champion because there will no mandatories getting enforced anytime soon.

I would like this to happen (forget Canelo for now he's suspended)
WBC interim title fights get made Charlo v Jacobs
IBF interim title fight get made Derevyanko v Andrade

Then GGG face Saunders for all the belts WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO.

The division has been held up for too long

If Canelo is still the ultimate target, then just take a long layoff.
If he still insist on fighting, then do it in Kazakstan and fight a local fighter for free.

One thing is for sure, both lovers and haters agree that a fight with Vanes is ridiculous. Funny that Loma-Linares fight almost didn't happen over the Cinco de Mayo PvP replay. Now it's the fight boxing fans will be tuned into.

Only fools want to see showcase fights.
Don't know what these people are thinking.

Yes this guy is more qualified than Sergiy give him the title shot!! IBF should strip especially since SERGIY IS AVAILABLE LOL
So, if Vanes make sense because he's in the gym and wants the fight, why doesn't fighting his ibf mandatory make more sense; that gym is in the gym and wants the fight too apparently?

                GGG Career

Most of GGG's career has been only about Canelo Alvarez and that is sad. He has chosen this path and when people look back and say who did he fight that was worth while other than Alvarez everyone will come up with a blank answer. I do not recall any other top fighter basing his whole career on only one guy.

That's true, but I feel bad for grown ups when bad things happen to them that are out of their control.

But I probably shouldn't feel too bad since he's going from making millions to only making like 1 million as a result of his "bad" fortune.

He should fight Sergiy. He's the mandatory so that alone justifies the fight. I hope Dibella keeps putting pressure. I love Golovkin but I'd prefer this fight over Vanes. Vanes would be destroyed within 3 rounds. No fights in 2 years and lost his last one and on top of that has never campaigned at 160. It's a no brainer.
