They just want to cover their costs, they’re not trying to rip anyone off it’s just a business reality they are out of pocket on this right now. Unfortunately any real contender won’t take a fight at this notice so not too many options, but they’d be better off just cutting their losses, I suspect that’s what will happenComment

Why are we hating?
It's not GGG's or his team's fault that Canelo cheated.
They're trying to find someone who might be ready for May 5, of course it's going to be a limited number of boxers who can do that date without issues.
What's wrong with having a stay busy fight when the Canelo fight can be rescheduled?
I'd be mad if I didn't saw GGG fight on May 5, regardless of who the opponent is

I remember when GGG would fight anyone, and couldn't get anyone to fight him. Shame on Loeffler and GGG's team if they duck Derevechenko. I understand the business of boxing, but this whole process is a joke. Even if he's not the mandatory, he's the #1 contender, a quality opponent., and hes willing to fight on short notice. Yes he is not a money fight, but don't become what you have always criticized. Spike, Vanes, the Mexican 154lb kid, or the 2012 bronze medalist are the type of guys GBP promotions hand pick for Canelo. Two of the guys are so unknown I can't even recall their names. Maybe the reason I've lost my love of a once great sport!Comment

lOU DIBELLA wants to postpone the fight date and have ggg fight sergey months from now. Well if ggg fights may 5th he wants to fight either canelo or bjs next. Not sergey. Sergey is not WILLING TO FIGHT MAY 5TH.Comment
