Comments Thread For: Jermell Charlo to Fight Austin Trout June 9 at Staples Center

Jarrett Hurd is the man Jermell Charlo really wants to fight. For now, the unbeaten WBC super welterweight champion will settle for facing an opponent Hurd has beaten. ESPN.com reported Tuesday that Houston's Charlo (30-0, 15 KOs) likely will make an optional defense of his 154-pound championship against Austin Trout on June 9 in Los Angeles.

That's one way to look at it, but I just want to add that Haymon keeps these loyal/prepared guys seeing checks.

Guys like Trout (a true professional) seem to always be able to secure a solid pay day working with Al.

Charlo should look good in there, or the wolves will start circling lol

He's a true professional. One of my favorite fighters, along with guys like Rosado.
