Seems kinda odd to announce this a couple days removed from Hurd-Lara. Especially for a fight in June. Seems like he would have waited a couple days, see if Hurd was interested, and shoot for a July or Aug showdown for jr middleweight supremacy. Maybe they’ll do it on the fall or winter.

THats too much shelf time. Charlo fight is still two months away. Between negotiations and camp... if he waits this fight won’t happen till at least September. Hurd can fight castaño in the summer and winner gets September PPV slot

I think castaño is too good already. His experience against guys like Falcao, Spence and Derevyanchenko put him ahead in my opinion. He’s not a prospect anymore. And he’s only getting better. He beat vitu from rope to rope for a full 12 throwing damn near 1000 punches the whole fight...
