Seems kinda odd to announce this a couple days removed from Hurd-Lara. Especially for a fight in June. Seems like he would have waited a couple days, see if Hurd was interested, and shoot for a July or Aug showdown for jr middleweight supremacy. Maybe they’ll do it on the fall or winter.

I agree. Scrap the June date and negotiate with Hurd for a unification fight.

Yeah, Trout's seen better days, but it aint like I'm aching for him to fight Vanes Martiroysian or Sergio Garcia or something.

Trout's a vet, knows how to survive, and will do better than you guys give him credit for.

Its what bob & hbo has done for years....You have to remember styles make fights. Hurd pressures, Trout boxes & Jermell boxes too so I won't be surprised if Jermell/Trout went the distance. Hurd/Jermell will be entertaining....Hurd will take many shots & if he can't take Jermell's punches then Jermell stops him but if Hurd can take his punches I still think Jermell wins on the cards. I don't THINK he would stay toe to toe as much as Lara did....Lara could have made the fight easier for himself & I don't know WHY he decided to **** with Hurd, maybe his legs are not what they were & time caught up to Lara or just a bad game plan?

Maybe Hurds pressure come forward style forced Lara to fight Hurds fight.
Laras legs surely aint as quick as they used to be.

I was shooting more towards being on the under card of a major fight than the headliner.

Nice filler fight to get more exposure and have a fight before trying to negotiate with Hurd. Charlo hasn't fought since Nov and that was a 1 Rd KO of Lubin. Plus its an undercard to an awesome fight making it a great card.

No issue with it at all and seriously considering attending.
