Heres the thing you might want to reconsider. Was Mayweather a star? How did he become a star? Was Gatti a star? heres what I am getting at: there is no magic designation that says this guy is a star, this guy is not, people follow a means to become a star. Zab Judah never followed a trajectory to make him a star... Yet he was an exciting fighter and a lot better than Gatti really. Gatti found his appeal to Yanks in the cities around Jersey...that how he became a star.

Wilder will be introduced to stardom when he fights other contenders and he has the charisma, thats why he will become a household name. Vegas is a really big boxing venue and it is international in scope.
You are really ****** if you think Wilder will ever be a star.

Sure I want this fight, why do you think I want Wilder to sign the contract? Smh.

People keep saying this fight is 150 mil plus. Where they get that numbers from? None of two sold a single PPV in US. Besides US doesn't care about boxing at all, how is this fight a big event in US if it's televised in lunch time? People are beyond deluded.

I actually think Europe is great at showing support for fighters, but its not because they are "stars." Same in Mexico... the fighters are supported because of fight fans, and fight fans come from all over the world to see all fighters in Vegas. If you had been around in the seventies, for example, you would have seen a similar situation in this country and not just with Vegas. King who was an awful human being had great fight cards in places like Madison Square Garden, Philly, Africa!

Fighters don't sell fights. When you are in that mode you want to fight and given their own devices they would not choose to fight the lesser guy, ever. What sells fights is a sustained campaign to put fights to eyeballs. Stars come and go, but in the golden age of boxing the heavy weight champ was always a star! because people knew what it was to be the champ. this carried to the other divisions, and there were boxing gyms everywhere and trainers who knew boxing.

The Europeans are great in their support of their fighters. Joshua, though a handsome kid, has the charisma of a doorpost lol. Its not Star power, thats my point...Froch looked like a coal minor, and fought in a very predictable fashion... And Hatton? Forget about it! but in all cases the fans show support. Thats a great thing about England and the rest of Europe to a degree. But my friend, Vegas is international, it will fill up just fine to accomidate fans from everywhere. Also Deontay is Charismatic which will eventually hopefully help the draw.
It is absolutely beyond me why people keep talking about Vegas in that fashion. If Vegas wanted this fight it would have happened there, did they make an offer? You living in a dream world, Vegas not gonna put a dollar into fight nobody is interested in and in US nobody is interested in Wilder or Joshua, facts. Give me example of Vegas offering big money for US fighter recently, you can't because Vegas is not ****** to invest into something people don't care about, like boxers. Wake up.

It's lowball, but still great money. I would like to see Deontay Wilder take it, with at least a 50/50 split in the rematch, providing he wins. Then go on and smash Anthony Joshua to pieces in about 3 rounds.

It's 100% lowball. I never trust it when one side offers the other a flat fee for a PPV super-fight, like Mayweather and Canelo have done in the past. This fight should be easy to negotiate, just give Wilder his 35-40%

I never liked flat fees for big fights, especially when it's the top two of the division.

I didn't like it when Pac and GGG were offered a flat fee, and I don't like it in this case either. Wilder hasn't gotten a huge check or sold his own PPVs like Pac has, but Wilder will do his part to promote this fight and increase ppv and ticket sales.

If he accepts the flat fee, then he shouldn't have to do his part to promote the fight or even show up to press conferences since Joshua is getting the lion share and he's the real big draw and he can sell the fight himself, right?

At the end of day, I just want to see fights happen, but if Wilder doesn't accept, that's his right and he has a good case for that. The flat fee does sound like great money, and he's never seen a check that size, but it could be potentially a hell of a lot more.

This is all bs. Hearn didn't even put date or location or venue in the deal. It's a bad deal for wilder.

60-40 Joshua way us fair. With. Rematch clause staying 65-35 to the winner.

If I was Wilder I would say 75-25. So her gets the 75.

Hearn is scum man. Most BS contract I have ever seen.

Trust me guys. This is Hearn not wanting the fight.
