Second of all, I don't know. Whether it's good or not depends on what the fight itself can generate (and NOT on what Wilder has earned in the past!).
For instance, if Manny had taken $40 or 50m to fight Mayweather he would have been getting WAY the short end of the stick! That's true even though it would have been a tremendous payday relative to what Pacquiao had earned in other fights. That may also be the case with $12.5m for this fight too, but in order to have a strong opinion about this I'd need more data from which I can estimate what this fight can generate.
But given the range of what it could probably earn in my mind, I'd much rather a % than a flat payment if I were Wilder. The upperbound is too high. If this fight does $50m or more, then taking $12.5m would make Wilder a giant cuck.
