  • Didn't Ali Fight A Bum Called Leon Spinks?

In the twilight of his career, ali fought a complete toothless hobo named Leon Spinks with like 2 professional fights. and got his ass beat.

so what's wrong with GGG going for a easy tune-up until he fights Canelo in Sept?

It was near the end of his career.

Oh wait, it's near the end of GGG's as well.

GGG is supposedly the best middleweight, has fought at 160 his entire career, and isn't coming off an injury.

He doesn't need a tune up

The likes of GGG and Floyd would get crucified for fighting some of the guys the likes of Ali, Leonard, Hagler etc.. did at some points. I know they also fought some great fighter, but they faced their fair share of weak opposition.

Imagine Ali was around in the day of internet forums and he announced a fight with a 30-9 Chuck Wepner or a 17-4 Jimmy Young.

Does GGG's whole life revolve around Canelo? is that fight really the only way for him to build legacy. Tell that man to stop sniffing the Ginger's ass and move on with his life.

he should cancel the May 5th fight against some random goat herder and face BJS in June to finally accomplish his "dream".

afterwards he should run it back with Jacobs because their fight is way more debatable than the Canelo fight.

then he should take his ass up to 168 or 175 for even bigger scalps. the way Golovkin obsesses over Canelo is disgusting and shows his hypocrisy as he always accused others of being "business men" in a derogatory way.

Yup, meanwhile Floyd fans still celebrate his big win over Baldomir with 9 losses, a B-rate battle worn Berto, Judah coming off a loss to Baldomir, a shot C-rate Gatti with 6 losses, a 0-0 MMA fighter. Look at the wins Wilder fans celebrate. A 38 year old unproven Ortiz--but they shyt on Marciano for beating a 37 year old washed up Louis, a version of Louis way past his prime but still better than Ortiz in terms of boxing skills and movement.

BUM?.................someone without effort or heart to win.

                    Leon Spinks;
                    All USA Army Champion
                    National (USA) Champion 1974, 75, & 76!
Olympic Gold Medalists Champion RSC (stopped) Sixto Soria Cuba

To refer to Spinks as a bum in his first bout with Ali shows the OP knows NOTHING about boxing and boxing terminology.

Just another forum rube begging for attention.
