I know lol, have just picked against them a couple of times because they seem too emotional before their fights, but they seems to channel that emotions in the right way. Against Hurd it would be two big 154’ers, am just giving Charlo the edge here.

Nothing has to discourage him. But Charlo's punch will put him to sleep. He chose Lara over Charlo for a reason.....Less power.

The one thing I've yet to see is Charlo getting rocked. Hurd has the tallent size and speed to get passed Charlos defence. I think either one can Ko the other. But I feel Hurd has the edge. Kinda like to see a Charlo/Jacobs ‘ish confrontation with little Charlo and Hurd and see how things play out. Talk about some build up and drama!!!!!

Emotional or drunk, the Charlo bros are wasted in most youtube interviews I watched lately lol

Man, this Hurd dude is mean, just beat Trout and Lara in a row, hurt them like nobody else.

At this point a big puncher beat Hurd, since his defense and reflexes are average, or a guy as slick as Floyd who can make him miss for 12 rounds.
Jermell doesn't fit any those criteria, his KO ratio is 50% and he's not as slick as he thinks he's.



Hurd put a beating on Jermell, Jermell stopping US cab drivers in his last fights isn't fooling me. His best win is Vanes, enough said.

What got me in your post is the number of times I have picked against the Charlo brothers, and I keep losing those. I did settle on Hurd beating Lara by a late round KO after going back and forth on that fight, which I am sure I will do with Charlo which is pretty close to a pick 'em fight.

Let's see it get signed. Than I will start flipping coins, Hurd will be heads (more titles) and Charlo will be tails. My pick will be whomever wins the best of 27 flips.

Hurd just virtually manhandled one of boxing's slickest and most frustrating southpaws in Lara.

Jermell may need to review the Leonard v Hagler battle.
If he can come anything close to replicating what Leonard did he may stand a chance otherwise he gets stopped.

No i am not suggesting Hurd is a Hagler but he has that same relentless, grind you down type of style, no matter what you dish at him, while beating you up to keep you honest.

My money will be on Hurd and i have a lot of respect for the Charlos.

I have to agree with you.
Unless you have the speed and guile like a Floyd or power like a Julian Jackson, you are in for a long night against Hurd.

Jermell is good but will be in over his head against Hurd.

He chose Lara over Charlo. Facts. After his last fight, they all were free, he said he'd rather fight Lara first. Know what you're talking before you speak.

Hurd's doesnt chose anything. Promoters and sometimes managers by contract are the ones who chose the opponent and set plans in motion when the fighter and the opponent(s) have a free date, and the boxer finds a reason to justify the choice and speaks on that decision or they try to reject it. Only fighters like mayweather and formerly Vitali K were able to chose who they fought, with no push back. And dont get wine, dined, and seduced by power. Hurd has a two fisted body and head attack that will beat down Charlo. Hurd is no smaller Lubin who hadnt fought sht when he fought Charlo. Hurd has legitimate champion, former champion and contenders on his resume.

The thing about Hurd is that his two-fisted attack is against the body, head, anything he can make contact with and he busts guys up and swells them and beats them down. He does not tire. I'll take that over any opponent who relies on the one big punch and who doesnt have as much in his arsenal as Hurd has, especially who doesnt have a non-stop vicious attack like Hurd puts on guys.
