Once Hurd has to move up and start fighting guys his size, you'll see a very average fighter.

I disagree he's very average but I agree he'll face a higher level of competition and have less success. I don't think his style of fighting will work well against bigger fighters.

He wasn't very average against Lara last night. He had a better variety of punches. He was actually out jabbing Lara towards the end of the fight. I think his awkward style and defense makes him look average. He beat three boxers in a row that were better than average.

Anybody who agrees with this is falling victim to the recency of last night's win. A fight where he was getting a draw until the 12th round knockdown btw.

There was a reason Lara hadn't fought anybody worth a damn in years. He was obviously sliding and ran into a young hungry guy.

Charlo is young and equally hungry. If Hurd takes the sort of punches against Charlo that we've seen him take recently, that fight won't go 12 rounds.

Charlo will be well advised to stay clear of Hurd for the time being if he wants to continue his boxing career.

Pick up a few "easy" pay checks then gamble against Hurd for good money.

I can tell you now, Charlo is going to be on his bicycle when he faces Hurd.

Hurd is a FAR FAR cry from Lubin.

Can't believe so many would chose Hurd over Charlo. I'm calling it now, Charlo knocks him out within four rounds. He cant walk through Charlo's shots. He has no defense, that works for these light punchers, not for a lion like Charlo. Hell Lara made him pause with a few shots last night.

Charlo only has like a 60% KO percentage...Hurd has a better punch and Charlo is not as skilled as Lara. Hurd only fights the "margarito" style against southpaws. He knows how to defend much better against orthodox fighters. And Hurd is improving every fight. Charlo would get overrun

Loved the fight and have been a fan of Hurd for awhile now but Charlo beats him. Won’t be easy though.

If you watch the Galarza-hurd fight you see what hurd does with an aggressive fighter. He slips more, he counters well and that uppercut is tailor made for someone who comes forward. Even though hurd looked decent against trout and Lara I feel like he’s beat when he can counter

Check my post history. Had Hurd beating Lara the whole time. Why? He wasn't hungry anymore. He showed some dog last night, but he'd become a fighter very content with collecting checks.

Those thinking Lara would outbox Hurd wasn't following his recent performances.
