Not Really, he’s a month from the fight

No one in the US knows who Spike is but Andrade is generally recognized as a talented guy who hasn't broken out yet.

Fighting Spike revives the criticism Golovkin faced for years. It's the kind of bullshyt he needs to get away from.

Andrade has nothing to lose. He is unknown, going nowhere, taller, longer, and in his prime. If he loses he lost to a great champion on four week notice. And if he gets a good fights, it’s as good as a in. He could say with full camp he wins.

If GGG loses, he’s out everything he’s built up, fighting a prime level southpaw that hasn’t been drug tested.

Andrade may be good, but he’s not the type of fighter I’d expect anyone with so mmuch can on the line to take on 4 weeks.

Floyd wouldn’t, Canelo wouldn’t.

Why would anyone expect ggg too. If he does, good for him. But he shouldn’t be expec expected too.

GGg fought Jacobs and Canelo, the 2 best in the MW division last year

Yeah his resume isn’t that great before that but chalk it up to 2 things 1) the MW division was sh.it for a long time and 2) Any MW with some clout wasn’t willing to fight Golovkin

Come on man Canelo wasn’t a cash out, it was a huge $ fight his team has been chasing for years but Sergio, Cotto, Canelo ( for a couple years ) didn’t want it.

Andrade talent wise is top shelf and the only reason he isn’t ranked or a champ is because his team sucks. Boxing fans that know Andrade knows he has a good possibility to win but he brings nothing to the table so why pick him

First off I’m not going to say these were ducks or these fighters were scared but their teams decided to take on less risk for more $ and I can’t blame them

Martinez - you say Gennady / Canelo was a cash out well Martinez / Cotto was a cash out everyone knew that was probably be his last fight so him saying he’ll fight GGg after is irrelevant they chose Cotto a small 154 who’s bring more $ to the table. They never wanted it with Gennady

Cotto - there was never a intent to fight Gennady. Cotto signed with the Roc a 3 fight deal. 1st fight a layup against Geale then a $ fight against Canelo then a possible rematch l. Gennady was never on the table because Canelo would be a easier fight and brought more $

Canelo - dropped his belt and his team waited years in hopes that Gennady gets old before they fought

Quillen - basically said he would fight Gennady if it was a big fight like May/PAC or for some unreachable number like 5-10 million
