Everybody knows Manny was not happy with Freddie after the Horn fight. Freddie did not do an good job in Pacquiao’s loss to Jeff Horn. He was passive, and not taking charge of the situation with Pacquiao getting roughed up by Horn for the entire fight.

Pacquiao was getting mugged, and there wasn’t anything being done about. Zero complaints from Freddie to the referee. Freddie should have stepped up early and gotten on the referee’s case to make him do his job.

Buboy Fernandez will obviously cost Pacquiao less as Freddie was the highest paid trainer in boxing. Buboy has been with Manny his whole career even before he came to the US.

Where Freddie will be missed his is the trash talking and getting in the other fighters head. Manny doesn't trash talk.

Freddie turned pacquiao into a 2 hand fighter. I always thought roach was overrated as a trainer but there is no denying what he did with pacquiao.

last couple of fights his corner seemed to be a clusterfcuk, too many people speaking to him at once. I'm sure Buboy has learned enough from Roach that he can take the reigns from here. At this level of a fighter's career there isn't much that a trainer is going to do for him that he doesn't already know. Look at Floyd Sr., he was basically a glorified mitt-holder for Floyd in his last few fights. Wasn't teaching him any new tricks or providing any new insight.

What is surprising was Manny wasn't taught to cut the ring off. Pacquiao was extremely light on his feet. Very view trainers could come up with a strategy for fighting Mayweather effectively. He made adjustments like no other fighter. He wasn't always the most exciting to watch. Boxing is the art of hitting and not getting hit. Marquez simply had Manny's number. They gave us four great fights that will never be forgotten. Roach got the majority of his accolades from Pacquiao's achievements. Although Roach was training fighters before Manny, his credits really started after he started training him.

"Thats whats crazy, if anyone should be best at cutting the ring off it should have been manny, he had some good legs in his prime, light and quick, he was able to rely on walking and following guys because of his quickness, once that left he kept having dificulty and could no long catch guys, the shane mosley fight is a prime example his legs were gone after the margo fight, when he fought shane all shane did was move back all night, pac just followed him around the ring instead of cutting it off.

Its a shame roach was getting all the praise in the world almost every other fighter has lost badly under him, chavez jr, linares, quigg. Roach held manny back.

he might have picked up the basic stuff they do in training but in an actual fight, he's not gonna have any idea what to tell manny besides "keep attacking".. which is what buboy always tell pac to do.

he doesnt know how to watch a fight and study it or what to look out for during a fight so that he can pass it onto manny. all he does is keep telling pac to attack, even when its not working.

All relevant points regarding Roach, who is really showing signs of his Parkinson's limiting his coaching abilities. Also, at t his stage it probably doesn't make too much difference who Manny's cornerman is; he is who he is and is gonna fight how he fights.

Manny is pretty much done but I don't think Matthysse has much left either. This fight just gives him the payday he came back for.

say what you want about roach but he gets manny ready for a fight. he might not have much to say in between rounds but getting pac ready, he's never disappoint.

buboy will have no idea what to do with manny in training. prolly just work the mitts for the whole training camp lol but buboy sucks at holding the mitts anyways. he's too slow so in return he makes pac slows down for him.

i was going for pac but now that he aint got no trainer, i see lucas winning this fight. lucas will come in better prepare.
