We know it's not true because Hearn was live on a radio interview when Finkel called in. So right there we know Hearn is lying when he says he's never been contacted because we literally heard him be contacted live on a radio show.

The meeting is then set up live on that radio show, so we know it was Finkel taking the initiative to call Hearn to set up a meeting.

How can Hearn say nobody has ever contacted him when we know of so many confirmed instances where somebody contacted him?
Go and rewatch the show. Eddie called Shelley to make the Whyte fight and Shelley returned Eddie's call. Eddie is talking about initiating contact. Shelley has only ever responded to Eddie's phone calls or emails.

It's a good line to manipulate biased fans who want to believe anything Eddie says, but do any unbiased fans believe him?

Eddie has already publicly admitted that he sat down in person to discuss the fight with Al Haymon and Shelly Finkel. Eddie has already publicly admitted that he's emailed about the fight with Shelly Finkel. Eddie has already admitted that Shelly Finkel met with the owner of Matchroom (Eddie's father).

So we already know for a fact that Eddie was lying in the ring after the fight. So how could any unbiased observer believe him when it's so easy to figure out that he's definitely lying?
Hearn initiated the negotiations last year, thats his point.

Wilder and team talked in the media, but they never put together any sort of official offer or got in touch with Hearn/Joshua's manager personally until Hearn initiated it.

        yeah I don't believe they've contacted him.

I heard the boxingvoice one where all of the people were on incl. shelly finkel. And no one from either side had really made any advances.

There are many on here who say Hearn is liar because Deontay has "exposed" him when in actual fact the opposite is true.

But he didn't just say I think the splits should be 50-50, he said it is 50-50 or we don't see the fight. As I said, if AJ said its 90-10 and no fight, all the Wilder fans would say AJ priced himself out. Unfortunately many on here can't see their hypocrisy.

            Eddie Hearn lied.

            Fact.

            That's what he's saying.

How has Eddie Hearn lied? He said he would follow up in an email but didn't because Deontay said 50-50 split or no fight?

Here's the facts for you because you clearly don't have the right information:
              1. November 9 - Eddie Hearn met with Shelly Finkel and Al Haymon for initial discussions.
              2. November 29 - Barry Hearn met with Shelly Finkel for further discussions.
              3. Evening November 29 - Eddie Hearn emails the same day saying he would email the prospective PnL's sometime in the next week.
              4. December 4 - (3 business days later) Wilder says to ESPN, its 50/50 or we don't see the fight.
              5. March 11 - Shelly Finkel lies to Boxingscene in this article:

“In the story [Friday], he said the reason he didn’t call me was Deontay said the fight won’t happen if the fight’s not 50-50,” Finkel told BoxingScene.com. “The problem with that answer is that Deontay didn’t say that until a month after I met with Barry Hearn. So it wasn’t that Deontay said that, and that’s the reason Eddie didn’t call. Now he’s using that as an excuse, but that happened a month later. It didn’t happen before then.

So maybe Shelly Finkel isn't a liar, maybe he is just old and doesn't know what day it is. But Eddie didn't lie.

No no no. Hearn was very clear in the ring. Claiming he'd never been contacted about the fight, which is complete bull****.

Hearn initiated Whyte negotiations. Finkel is the one that first brought up AJ. Finkel has emailed and called, even called live on the radio. So we know Hearn is lying when he says nobody has contacted him. That's a clear lie.
