AJ's inside game is really good. He sometimes cheats though by pulling his opponents head down to land the uppercut.

Not sure he has the best, probably top 2 or 3. I actually think Big Baby has the best inside game. He throws quite a variety of combinations and different shots while inside but he has little power to get his opponents out quickly.

The gameplan you described is why I'd be very confident a fit Tyson Fury would beat Wilder. There are multiple examples of Tyson Fury essentially fighting as a 6'9 pressure fighter. He boxed neatly against Hammer and Wlad. But how he is seen as an exclusively outside boxer isn't really right imo.
Wilder is not a small heavyweight. His upper body strength is probably close to AJ. Look at his hands. He just has chicken legs - very, very small legs for a heavyweight. Do you see how Wilder shoves 240+ pound fighters when they get close to him?

See how he pushed away Duhaupas, even Ortiz was pushed like that? Then in round 10, he ragdolls Ortiz with 1 hand mostly and shoves him down. Watch a couple of Wilder fights and see how he uses his upperbody to lift up Gerald Washington, Ortiz and after the fight Shelly Finkel. Wilder is strong - country strong.

AJ will try to get on the inside but will not be successful. If he gets to close, Wilder counters him and destroys him. AJ will stay in position 2 more like he did against Parker, who is not even a dangerous puncher, and wait for mistakes. But Wilder moves his head better.

Wilder has a fantastic jab. Look at the Jab he threw in Stiverne II. he was killing Stiverne with it. It was crisp, fast and hard. Wilder had problems with Ortiz because of the southpaw stance. Ortiz head wasnt where it was supposed to be, so that nullified Wilder's jab.

Joshua's head will be right where its supposed to be. Joshua when challenged, moves straight back. See how Parkers short armed job completely stiffled AJ's offense. Where Parker wasnt landing the jab, Wilder will be. He will jab, jab, jab and catch him with a right in the first 3 rounds. AJ will be easy money for Wilder. The AJ camp knows it too, that why they are putting up all these walls and moving goalposts. They dont want it...

I wouldn't stay at mid and long range if I was AJ. Closer the safer imo. And I know he's a better boxer than Wilder but so are lots of people.

I sincerely doubt Wilder would be able to push around AJ or Fury. Proof will be in the pudding I guess.

But obviously pushing around Ortiz in round 10 different than pushing him around in round 1.

            Wilder is superbly conditioned athlete.

Country strong? Must be an Americanism. Farm strong is what we would use. I have family in Ireland who are farmers. Just look at it as a more a practical application of strength not being stronger per se.

            Wilder is a greyhound.

This is, actually, a very good idea! Because Wilder is either quite useless at close range, or at least he will have no power.
And, contrary to what soul_survivor said, AJ is quite good at close range fighting.

Wilder does not have a better jab than Joshua. He was out jabbed by Washington for Christ sake. Washington has a garbage jab, it's slow and prodding, no snap or power behind it which is why Miller just walked through it.

Look at how Ortiz easily took Wilder's jab away by parrying with the lead right. Sure Ortiz is a southpaw so it's always difficult to land the jab vs a southpaw with a high right hand but Joshua does the same thing out of the orthodox stance, he uses his right hand to catch and parry jabs.

No way Wilder out boxes Joshua. His jab is too much of a weak flicking jab which he paws out, just watch the Washington fight. His jab looks fine against much smaller guys or guys with no jabs but that won't do vs guys like Fury or AJ.

His stance is also too wide, he does it to get leverage and load up on shots. But the problem with that is it limits his movement so he's forced to lean way, way back or to the side and puts himself in bad positions were he can't counter or even worst where he's off balance. Remember when that happened vs Washington and he had to do that little bunny hop so not to fall over. Joshua is going to punish these mistakes badly when they do meet.

Oh wait. He wasn't even throwing it. Because he was terrified of getting countered (rightly so, because a single Ortiz counter almost got him KO'ed)

Try to give a reasoned, unbiased breakdown and we can respect your opinion. There's no reason to be so one-sided, Deontay's not your girlfriend (at least I don't think he is)

The same goes for all the Joshua bum-lickers.
Ortiz is a southpaw so its harder to establish your jab as an ortho, escpecially if the southpaw is a good counter punsher you have to be very careful. it will land easier vs Joshua as he really doesn't move his head and hes also an ortho.... boxing 101

if Joshua can go 12 rounds without getting koed he wins that's pretty much how this fight will go. and IMO he wont last 12 rounds with the way hes looked lately.
