Yep. Signing an agreement in principle to fight with a basic split agreed to and all other details to worked out is not crazy. He fights Whyte, agrees to the payday, site, ref, so on so forth, and whoever wins gets Joshua next for a flat fee and a smaller % of gate/pay-per-view in the English site of Joshua's choice.

    Done. Move on.

Imho this is the smartest move Wilder could have made.

Dont you think that Wilder with his belt and Joshua with his cant pull of a huge gate and ppv?
Especially unifying all the heavy weight belts. It doesnt get bigger than that.
Plus im sure the UK has heard of wilder and im positive the US knows Joshua. No need for them to become known in each country they already are.
Blatant duck by AJ if he doesn't even sit down to negotiate this fight.
I think that’s exactly it- Hearn is trying to negotiate. For fights with AJ and Whyte.

But all Wilder does is talk. There’s no real intent to get the fight done on his side.

He’s not coming to Cardiff. Says it all.

          load of garbage

so hearn doesn't want wilder there in the ring to call out AJ without a deal in place first?

but he wants wilder there so whyte can confront him without a deal in place?

hearn told finkel back in December he would run the numbers and come back to him with a Joshua proposal...and finkel hasn't heard from him since...no no numbers...no proposal

if hearn wanted to do a wilder/whyte and then winner vs AJ deal he would have already presented the proposal to finkel and the rest of wilders people

          hes done nothing or neither

Why should he come to cardiff if he cant call out AJ.
Anthony is the fight that he wants not whyte.
The only reason for this whyte fight is for Hearn to make more money.
The real fight everyone wants is AJ-WILDER.
Alot can happen in a few fights and it could dissolve what at the moment is the fight of the year.

                Keep telling yourself that.

                Deluded.

Wilder is supposed to be coming to cover the event for Sky Sports. He’s getting paid.

Just because AJ doesn’t want him pulling some WWE crap in the ring, doesn’t mean you throw your toys out of the pram and stay at home.

What does he care getting paid a paltry sum for someone who makes millions.
Maybe he has better things to do than watch a stiff robot flex his oil skinned muscles for a few rounds.
He aint hearns ***** and neither is he Joshuas.

You’re a bit slow to catch on, but as Hearn himself said, he has no intention of dealing with Shirley Winkle.

And he already made an offer for Wilder to fight Whyte, which you should know. Wilder turned it down, even though it would have been his highest pay packet to date and would have given him exposure in the U.K. to build the fight. Because no one in the U.K knows who he is.

Hearn has now confirmed he’s increased his offer to Wilder to fight Whyte. So you’re wrong on two counts.

They’ve said they don’t want Wilder in the ring, pulling his face-off stunts. But they do want Wilder there to build the fight.

Even though Wilder is supposed to be there as a Sky Sports commentator, getting paid, getting exposure and to UK crowd and building the fight, Wilder decides to stay at home.

There’s no defence for that. Keep fooling yourself all you want, but there are two heavyweight champions in the ring on Saturday night trying to unify the division, and neither one of them are Deontay Wilder. Despite all his talk.
