Comments Thread For: Wilder: I'll Fight Whyte If I'm Guaranteed Joshua Fight is Next

Nothing Deontay Wilder saw Saturday or at any other point of Dillian Whyte's career makes him hesitant to fight Whyte. If Wilder were to agree to make his next title defense against Whyte, though, that contract would need to assure the unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion that a fight against Anthony Joshua would come next. Eddie Hearn promotes Joshua and Whyte, which makes Wilder's proposition realistic.

Wilder very soon is going to lose all the leverage when WBC mandates the fight with Whyte. And who is wilder going to fight other than Whyte? Povetkin comes to mind. Big baby? Breazele?

Back to square one. Wilder asking for ****** stipulations again. Impossible to put Joshua in the Whyte contract without having everything agreed to for a Joshua fight. Wilder knows this but is trying to fool the ******ed yanks he wants the fight.

Yep. If Hearn wants Wilder-Whyte there's no benefit in him giving Wilder what he wants. Just wait for it to go to purse bid. Hearn wins that and controls everything about the fight.

Impossible to guarantee a Joshua fight unless they also agree on purse splits, venue etc... an if they can get to that stage then why in god's name would we need to see Wilder v Whyte when we could just see Wilder v Joshua?!

Look at the big picture. Wilder who earned his highest purse last fight of 2 mil is asking for 40% and 50% from a guy that earns 20 mil+. If you don't see a problem with that then you have no sense.
