I think he knew Whyte was gonna get in he's face and he doesn't want that fight at all, if Whyte steps to him he's gonna look like he's ducking. Btw, the security aren't there to keep Wilder out of the ring, but because of a high terror alert since the Manchester arena bombing. That's not to say they shouldn't do a face off coz thats traditional. But talks of restraining orders is embarrassing bull**** from Deontay.

Poor Deontay gonna cry now in all the media and beg for attention. You are simply coward Deontay, nothing more, you keep talking about unification but you sit in your house in Alabama and do nothing just running your mouth. What a pathetic coward

Not saying I don't agree with you in theory. If a guarantee is in place, I think Wilder shows. Otherwise, he shows and allows Hearn to cuck him with Whyte. That is not smart and you know it.

You have no idea what he will do. Hearn likely wants HBO so he can fight Miller, Whyte 2 then Fury rather than Wilder.

            We will see.
Hearn inviting Wilder to be a commentator for his show convinces me that he does want AJ vs Wilder to happen, either next or immediately after Wilder vs Whyte - assuming Wilder won.

If he didn't want the fight there would be nothing in Wilder being there for Hearn except a stick for people to beat him with when it didn't happen.

              August 4, 2017:

Anthony Joshua faces conflict as WBA orders fight with Luis Ortiz

              Well, this could get complicated.

Anthony Joshua’s acquisition of Wladimir Klitschko’s WBA title has left him in a bit of a bind, as the organization today announced its intention to enforce a January resolution ordering the winner of that fight to face top contender Luis Ortiz. The two have 29 days to hash out an agreement before it goes to a purse bid.

Joshua, however, is already in talks to face mandatory IBF challenger Kubrat Pulev.

Ortiz (27-0, 23 KO) once held the interim WBA strap and was part of the ill-fated WBA unification tournament. Assorted shenanigans with Alexander Ustinov and some promotional troubles have left him facing the likes of Tony Thompson, Malik Scott, and Dave Allen. He has yet to fight in 2017.

Joshua-Ortiz is by far the more interesting fight, but it’s hard to picture Eddie Hearn springing for such a risky opponent so soon after Joshua’s biggest triumph. By my thinking, it makes more financial sense to drop the WBA belt, take on Pulev, then go for a unification with Deontay Wilder.

But, then again, Eddie’s making the big bucks and I’m here blogging.

                Vegas sounds better than Tuscaloosa.
Or Wilder could tree take the short end of the stick to still get his biggest ever payday and reap the rewards but don't hold your breath

So far as Whyte calling out Wilder .. all Deontay needs to say is something along the lines of, "look, my aim is to unify all the belts and become undisputed champ, and you are my No1 contender for the WBC title, so you're getting it next, after I beat the man who beat your ass, etc .."

Like I said .. great publicity for all concerned!
Let me get this straight, you're okay with Joshua saying that he doesn't want to entertain a **** show in the ring after the fight so he doesn't want Wilder to come in the ring. But you're not okay with Wilder not going to the fight because he suspects its going to turn into a **** show with Dillian Whyte trying to get in his face to promote a Whyte Wilder fight.

It just seems like a few UK folks are just looking for yet another reason to criticize Wilder and all he wants to do is get an offer from Hearn to fight Joshua while doing what he can to make it a high revenue event.

And did AJ have to give up his WBA title for not fighting his mando, like it says he would have to there?

No he didn't, because the WBA postponed ordering their mando on account of the AJ/Pulev negotiations having already begun, which is also mentioned in that article.

Ortiz then lost his WBA mando position after failing a PED test for the 3rd time.
