Come on kafkod if you were Wilder's management you wouldn't go for that unless the AJ fight was signed or you had a guarantee in place.
Ortiz signed with Hearn, granted AJ a step aside to fight Wlad, and Hearn still went to Pulev after Wlad, and not Ortiz! That's what happens when you don't have a guarantee in place!

AJ using Wilder to elevate his profile .. ha ha, that's a good one!

Didn't AJ say that he thinks Wilder only wants to piggy back off him to elevate his own profile? Of the two, who needs the other one most in that respect?

According to Hearn, AJ vs Parker is being televised in every country in the world, bar two. When has Wilder ever had a chance like that to get his voice heard, and his face seen, by sports fans all over the globe? And in the perfect context too!

If AJ gets the WBO belt, he won't move to HBO unless he gets a guarantee from them that it won't stop him fighting Wilder for the WBC.

I'm more sure about that than I am about him beating Parker, tbh. I've never seen a boxer exhude so much unshakable self confidence, while saying so little, as Parker at that final pressure. Damn .. he impressed me there!

You know what I meant about that relative to your post.

Not saying I don't agree with you in theory. If a guarantee is in place, I think Wilder shows. Otherwise, he shows and allows Hearn to cuck him with Whyte. That is not smart and you know it.

You have no idea what he will do. Hearn likely wants HBO so he can fight Miller, Whyte 2 then Fury rather than Wilder.

              We will see.

According to Ortiz, it was Wlad who didn't want to fight him for the vacant WBA title, and it was the WBA who asked him to step aside, not AJ.

AJ had no choice but to fight Pulev, because the IBF ordered it as a mando. The other sanctioning orgs are ... ahem ... flexible when it comes to mandos, but not the IBF. They take no prisoners and grant no reprieves.

Yeah but nobody had as many guys with losing records on he's sheet as Deontay. All of those guys you mentioned fought good fighters in their prime, Wilder hasn't yet.

It was the right call, real boxing fans knows why the fight is not happening. Not Wilder fans, boxing fans!
