Hearn did this already with the Klitschko-Joshua fight. That fight was obviously already negotiated before the Joshua-Eric Molina fight took place, which is why they were able to announce the fight in the ring immediately after the Joshua-Molina fight ended.

We saw the same thing done with GGG-Canelo. The fight was negotiated before the Canelo-Chavez fight, and announced in the ring as soon as the Canelo's fight ended.

Finally, Ward-Kovalev had their fight negotiated several fights before they actually met in the ring. I think that Ward fought Smith, Barrera and Brand - Kovalev fought Mohammedi, Pascal and Chilemba.

So this is all smoke screen stuff. Hearn (and any other promoter) is able to negotiate a fight before the outcome of a pending fight is known, as he has done it before. Promoters lie, that's what they do, it's part of promoting. The question is, are the fans dumb enough to believe whatever the promoter tells them. All we really need too do is look at their history, as these promoters contradict themselves all the time.

Wilder fighting Dillian Whyte is a waste of time. Why would Wilder get credit for defeating a cat who already got KO'd by AJ?

Because he gets £££££.Nearly 5 Million for defeating a bum in Whyte and also UK Fans would along with the US Fans and World Media would put enormous pressure on Hearn and Joshua for Joshua v Wilder Next.....Also he would get a new batch of fans on board for his own profile....Wilder benefits everything from this deal....The only thing is, if Whyte beats him, his boxing career is over....Hearn being the **** he is probably will demand NOT to have a Rematch Clause

It's obvious what he's thinking. Wilder is making the right call here.

It's good business and the way Hearn operates. He knows there is a very good chance Joshua loses to Deontay. Before taking that risk, milk Joshua fans for another safe PPV after he beats Parker, and Hearn also wants a piece of the next Deontay fight too if he can get it. Joshua Wilder then happens in 2019, and it will be in the states because that's how all sides will maximise earnings.

Obviously Hearn is pissed that the Whyte confrontation won't happen on Saturday now. This potentially was his best path to getting in on the next Wilder fight, and having the perfect excuse to pad out Joshua Wilder until next year.

I’ll preface this again by saying that it’s not the fight I want and I’m not campaigning for it. But Whyte is a better option than other contenders for the following reasons:


1) Whyte is ranked as #1 contender for Wilder’s belt.
2) Whyte would actually try and take Wilder out rather than be a big, stiff punching bag.
3) Wilder would finally get a payday that the WBC Champ deserves.
4) It would raise his profile in the U.K. & Western Europe, which is the only other market worth a damn.
5) He would be dealing with Hearn and could make a future AJ fight part of the agreement.

Tell me what Breazeale, Miller etc. offers that makes them a more (or equally) attractive option. I’ll wait.

i wouldn't go either, when he was scheduled to go... all they talked about was how he wasn't getting let in the ring and being freezed out if he didn't shut up and you fans agreed with it, as soon as they hear hes not coming they pull this and u clowns eat it up. within 2 weeks hearn has changed stances and none of you question it... u people are so fake and full of sht. It goes both ways. A lot of Wilder fans were still insisting he'd go over anyway to "show who's boss" and would be shaming Hearn and Joshua in public and then backtracked. Like I said it goes both ways and basically both fan bases are showing themselves up as idiots who are allowing themselves to be played by the usual Boxing buildup/hyping of an inevitable fight. It's an easy trick to play: Get the fans shouting and screaming about it and demanding it getting thirsty and ONLY talking about that fight and then boom the fight is made and all is forgotten (well Mayweather-Pacquaio dumbass fans still cry about ducking).

Wilder was supposed to be part of the telecast. I think SKY or whoever asked him to do commentary so if he agreed on that and has reneged on that it's not cool but maybe he has something more important going on at home.
