Boxing has to find it's "Ronda Rousey". Doesn't have to be that good. Promoters can give her some easy fights to build her record then let her get whooped by Claressa Shields.

nah, boxing is just not the same as mma for them to be able to promote a female boxer at the level ronda was being promoted in the ufc.
there's just not that much interest in women's boxing for people to care. i mean, i dont even think i've ever met a girl who's into boxing. i've met tons of girls that watch ufc though. women's boxing is the same as the WNBA. nobody gives a shiiet about it.Comment

to be fair though, there's more actions in mma. im sure if its just 2 females striking it out, no kicks or anything then nobody would care either. but in mma, there's more ways to finish a fight and because of this, it makes it more interesting to watch. in boxing, 2 females with no power punching each other back and forth can get boring fast.Comment
