Resume wise? I'll give you he is a nightmare h2h any time in history. But resume wise, he's not even close.

Yes, I’m originally from NYC. Back in those days I spent some time around “The Deuce,” hanging out like a lot of NYC kids. I started working in the area in the late eighties. I never ran into him, but Mike Tyson used to frequent Times Square back then. I recall seeing his white Lamborghini jeep parked on Broadway once. (Never saw another one before or since.)

I met Emile through a friend who was a boxing writer. He was a very nice man with a broad smile. I remember watching Saul Mamby work the bag once. I can still see that big glass that faced 42 Street, right next to the ring. I never made it to the lockers. I was just a visitor. Been thirty years since then. The way my memory’s going, I’m impressed I remember this much. Lol But it’s always that way, isn’t it? You remember the distant past fairly well, but not what you had for breakfast.
        cuba,
"The Deuce", Yeah your from New York alright. The Deuce was a different world back then. I remember Tyson when he would come once in a while to get sparring in Time Square for his fights. I'm not going to say that I know him, but when we do run into each other we always greet each other. I remember him just as this heavy kid with a huge head for his age back then. A very hard worker, we would be training, watching each other spar but never in a million years would i have imagine that he would become the Heavy Weight Champion of the World! Emile Griffith was a great fighter (5x world middlewgt champion) & trainer (was brought over to assist with Wilfred Benitez & Juan Laporte) I've seen him up close how he conditioned his fighters back then, something to really marvel about. But bro, you just took me back with your discriptioned of the big glass window of the gym facing 42nd St....wow! Speaking of Breakfast...I forgot what i ate this morning...LMFAO!

Foreman is like 6-3 in title fights. Get real man.

Foreman knocked out Joe Frazier twice. Was an undisputed heavyweight champion. Oldest man to win the heavyweight championship after a 10 year lay off.

Klitschko lost to both of the best fighters he ever faced by TKO lol. His best win is over Sam Peter

No need for me to explain any further how idiotic you are.

Head to head he lost to the worst version of Lennox Lewis and a small heavyweight in Chris Byrd. Has no significant historical opposition in his win column. So no, he doesn't belong on any top 10 all time list.

I think it's clear who the ****** one is here, fanboy lol.

Barring freak injury, can you see anyone Tyson beat giving any real problems to Vitali Klitschko? And I do think prime Holmes would have put up a good fight, Tyson beat nowhere near a prime Holmes. That's what I'm saying. Tyson's best win was Spinks, who was a blown up LHW. Other than that his reputation was built from knocking out bums early. Not that he wasn't good for a bit, but he's badly overrated......in my opinion of course.
Oh ..Hell YeAH!!! Lets not forget that Wladimir got KO'd by Corrie "who" Sanders & Lamon Brewster "Brewster's Millions" (see Richard Pryor movie)....I mean....REALLY!!!
In those 2 terrible loses were in his prime. I truly believe that Trevor Berbick, Pinklon Thomas, James Bonecrusher Smith, Frank Bruno, Razor Rud****, Carl Williams, Michael Spinks (was small but very athletic & agile, elusive. If Sanders & Brewster cracked him, Spinks had better skilss and was harder to hit) & yes, The Buster Douglas that beat Tyson is much better then Cory or Brewster!

So did Arturo Gatti. Using that as an example is comical. Just another example of how ****** your are.

Realistically, if we say for arguments sake the 70's George and the 80's/90's George are two different men both of them would rank ahead of Vitali.

This thread has spawned some of the craziest views I've seen in recent times. I've seen Chageav, Povetkin and Peter as better than Frazier and Liston and as good as Foreman, Joe Louis at the bottom of a top 10 and the Klits above Ali.

Yesterday I saw Judah, Hatton, Corrales better than Duran, Hearns, Benitez and De La Hoya better than Hagler.

I think I need to take the weekend off!

Ok Si Got them mixed but I still stan by the first post on Wladimir. Now let's nitpick Vitaly's resume

Chris Byrd...Really???!!! Yeah I know he had a shoulder injury, but he quit against a little guy with no pop. Imagine Tyson?! But hey Chris Byrd didn't have it easy either. He had to fill in for Donovan Ruddock, he had only seven days to prepare for the fight (not the customary 6–12 weeks). Excuses are like A ss-holes, everyone has one...

Here's avery intersting thing to think about an old washed up past his prime Tyson went 8 rds with Lennox, while an in his prime Vitaly went onlt 6 rds with Lennox.
