I hope you're being sarcastic. Loma repeatedly called out Davis and neither Davis nor his camp wanted anything to do with that fight. The general consensus on this site is that Davis would get annihilated.

Half of the posts in this thread are sarcastic, and yes, mine included.

Smh, a classic case of cherry picking on Loma's part.

Loma shouldve called out other champions at 130 or move up to 135 to face better fighters, instead of calling out davis. (I know he's doing the right thing now, so good job on Loma's part)

Like LOL at a champion calling out another fighter who's not even a champion just because of who his promoter is. Imagine the outrage if anyone else did what Loma did.

Considering the circumstances, I can kind of look the other way for Davis declining the fight. Lack of experience, emotional maturity and discipline. Considering that Davis probably won't be fighting at 130 for long if at all, this fight can easily happen down the road.

He was a champion,if he didn't miss weight in his last fight he still would be. So your whole argument is pointless

Yea I think the fight is inevitable and will eventually happen in a couple of years, most likely at 135.

He's not champion anymore which pretty much makes the Loma fight pointless especially when Loma can unify or fight better competition at 135.

Loma called davis out because of the attention it would get him due to davis's affiliation with Floyd. As a boxing fan how could you be ok with that when Davis isn't the best possible fight for Loma right now? Don't you want him to fight the best available?

I saw quite a bit of talk about Davis would beat Lomachenko. If Davis wasn't so open about not wanting this fight the narrative would be that Lomachenko is ducking him. I fully expect within the next 12 months that talk to emerge from the usual suspects if Davis can avoid losing in that time which given his matchmaking he probably will.

I agree on the point of him losing his title on the scales. Was that an ingenious way of Davis ducking and showing he's "not ready"?

Anyway, Linares is a much better fight against a much better fighter with a much higher standing in the game so more than happy with this.
