I'm not putting anyone down, but from what my coach had told me was that you can't build a house from the roof down..meaning you can't go out there and drive torwards a belt the first thing you do when you get out, you gotta get everything else figured out and settled the way it needs to be. i'm no different then anyone else I still have plenty to perfect, but i've came a long way for just being out for around 5 months now, but it's good to have that motivation and desire to become something great and like what Rockin has told me, being a pro boxer isn't easy.
I really got into boxing watching Mike Tyson coming through the ranks on Grandstand, and Nigel Benn amateur fights. I just wanted to BE Tyson and Benn! I was only a kid at the time, and didn't win my first amateur title until changing my style after Tyson got thrown in jail and Benn became much more of a thinker, lol.
I mean, I just wanted to knock everybody out. So I was just looking for the knockout punch all the time, most coaches gave up on me because I wouldn't listen. I just wanted to be Tyson and Benn, but didn't realise they were technically skilled and not just throwing loads of power shots and hoping one connects Bless me.
